Returning home (GW mages only please~)

[Vayate Merrick]

It had been so long since he stepped foot into the town he had called home not so long ago, his body instinctively moving towards his guilds hall. Vayate's hair had grown to below his shoulders during his year long absence. His armor still as shiny as ever but the fur that once lined it different altogether, now more white in appearance and obviously from a separate animal. His body now adorned with his Gun at his right hip in its holster, a bullet pouch next to it towards his back. A long black flowing cloak hid his frame slightly as well as masked his identity. His trademark hammer staff secured through a sling sheath on his back and a duffle bag in his right hand.

As he walked through his city his glowing forest green eyes are all that seeped forth from his cloaks hood, gazing outward onto the scenery as he viewed everyone and everything he came past. And upon coming to his guild halls front gate he dropped his back and lifted up his hood unmasking his presence visually as he inhaled sharply and exhaled slowly as he smiled, "Ahh! Good to be home again! I wonder if Riley missed me! Oh! I wonder if Sakura-chan did either! Oh! And of course my best buddy Durri!", ahh such goofiness out of a serious looking person, Vayate wondered if anyone had heard or even worse! Witnessed such an embarrassing scene! Oh the ungodly horror that would be!... especially if it was a cute girl.... And so he thought to himself with a depressed expression, "No matter..", becoming serious and solemn faced once more he picked up his bag with his right hand and pushed the gate open with his left, beginning to walk onto the grounds slowly.

Suddenly, Vayate would feel a gush of wind throw his hair back, the longness trimmed away painlessly at about ear-length. The breeze would abruptly fade away, his excess hair carried away into the wind. A sweet voice sounded from a shadow, her purple eyes glowing in the darkness, "Well, well, well. Long time no see, Vayate."

[/b] Sakura stepped out of the shadow, her long brown hair flowing out behind her. She crossed her arms over her chest, a smirk on her face. "Out on an adventure? Seems like you've been gone a long time."

Eyeing him over, Sakura remained planted in place, quickly reflecting over the last time they had seen each other. "Still as weak as ever, I bet~"[/b] she said teasingly, grinning this time. "Care for a spar? I want to know how much you've improved on your grand 'training trip'."[/b] She thought for a moment, pressing one finger to her chin and looking to the cloud-dotted sky. "If I win, you go on a mission with me."[/b] she said, waiting for him to state what he wanted, if he won. Of course, that won't actually happen.[/b][/i] she thought.

[Vayate Merrick]

Vayate cracked his neck as he playfully spiked his hair up now that it was at its appropriate length. Cracking his said in his charming and soft voice that no woman could resist for long, "Sakura-chan... Long time no see! Tell me everything that has happened since I left! Also thank you for the hair cut.", he smiled pleasingly as he turned to face her, "You look as stunning as ever Sakura-chaaan~", he winked playfully as he dropped his duffle bag and became serious, placing his hand up onto his chin as to think for a moment before saying, "First a hug, then a spar, but! If I win not only do we do a mission but I get a kiss from you!", his cheerful flirty self popping through near the end of his little statement as well as his trademark wink. "And as for your weak comment lets see shall we?", he flexed his muscles subconsciously and cracked his neck again.

Sakura was slightly agitated by his requests, but in a playful way. "Still flirty as ever, I see!"

[/b] she rolled her eyes, awkwardly walked up to him, and wrapped her arms around him in a big bear hug. The two stayed like that for a few seconds before Sakura pulled away, grinning slightly. Though a little late in their conversation, she admitted, "I'm glad to have you back."

With this being said, she took a few steps back and curtsied, as was courtesy nowadays. Then, whether or not Vayate would decide to bow back to her, she flicked her staff from out under her wrist, extending it even before it reached her hand. Her weapon was ready in a matter of seconds, glowing pink blade, and all. "I've also been busy, since you've been gone." she stated, before assuming an offensive stance, both hands on her weapon and slightly crouched for balance.

[Vayate Merrick]

Vayate smiled as he embraced her back tightly and close letting go as she did. When she said she was glad he was back he responded courtly and bowed like a gentleman, "I missed you too Sakura-chan...", as he looked up and rose a pink bladed sword was in his face, a soft chuckle leaving his small lips, "I see... So have I!", he flipped back wards discarding his cloak and drawing his pick hammer staff as he landed. Pointing it at her he took a fencing stance and moved his left hand elegantly across his body in a swiping motion, A few soft words leaving his mouth, "Want to see my best?!".

A glowing green sigil circle appeared below him and cast a sickly green glow upon his frame as wind came forth from it and then it became light blue, lightning crackled up and small bolts began shooting around him, an eerie Latin accented voice coming forth from his maw, "Oh heavenly light, grace my frame and bring death to my palms!Fulguraito Albicans!", as he finished his Incantatum his left palm pointed towards Sakura and a blast of lightning two feet by two feet in size and white in color shot forth from it aimed at Sakura. The spell was tweaked to paralyze and moved at a very fast pace.

"Come at me, bro!"

[/b] Sakura yelled, shortly after Vayate asked his rhetorical question. She watched thoughtfully as he started to cast his spell. Hesitating a little, she was hit straight-on with the bolt, the force throwing her back to the stone wall behind her. She hit the wall with full force, creating a slight dent in it, the stone somewhat crumbling away. Still, the girl was not nearly fazed by this, falling to the ground with her feet landing firmly on the ground. She was still holding her staff, running at Vayate with brilliant speed.

Right before Sakura got to him, however, she jumped up and did a somersault. The instant her hands touched the ground, they released the mage's magic: powerful ice crystals bound Vayate's feet to the ground. The lithe girl vaulted over him, hoping he would have the decency not to look up as she did so, and landed on the ground. Quickly turning, she jabbed the end of her scythe into the back of his neck.

As his attack was successful he smiled gently and yay'd in his head only to be surprised by the frontal charge. As she leaped over head he followed her with his head blushing from his "view" and immediately looking down as he was smacked with the pole. Not being able to fly forward from the hit due to the ice holding his feet he fell face first into the ground. Swinging his hammer at the ice he quickly free'd himself and rolled rising to a standing position. He smiled at her and motioned for her to come again as he hid his disorientation.

His mind wandering over several things including the view he had recently received which made him blush terribly. As for a precaution he began incanting, "Let fly the winds of change! Sagitta Magica!(Mediocre.)[/color]", sixteen arrows of lightning formed around him as three fired off towards Sakura -Chan each being able to paralyze the area in which they hit. They were aimed at her legs and stomach and if they hit would hopefully restrict movement. The other nine arrows stayed floating around him ready to be used if needed.

Sakura watched him roll out of her little trap, not letting any disdain cross her face. She was questioning to herself what he was about to do, and quickly reacted at the lightning was shot at her. Slamming her hand to the ground, a giant ice wall was formed in between the two, blocking the attack. The lightning burned a gaping hole through the ice, in which Sakura, in cheetah form, leaped through with blinding speed. She jumped up once to clear the ice, took a few bounds, and pounced directly on Vayate, her teeth ready to rip his throat out.

Forfeit yet? Or would you like me to finish you off?

[/b] Sakura telepathically told Vayate, her now pink eyes staring into his. Her nose twitched, one of her paws slowly kneading her sharp claws into his chest. If he didn't answer soon, he would have a large gash in his flesh.

Vayate had little time to react as a Sakura cheetah leaped onto him tackling him to the ground. They only thing he had done in time was position his hammer staff by his neck blocking access to it as the remaining nine arrows formed a circle around Sakura and pointed down at her. He responded telepathically as he said, "No... But are you?", he smiled playfully as he positioned his knees at her sides and prepared to attempt to launch the kitty airborne if she preemptively strikes.

His arrows would launch down into her like spikes of paralyzing numbness! If they hit, which considering their range, they would paralyze any part of her part they touched and spread a numbing feeling rather then pierce through her. First off, kissing an impaled girl wasn't Vayates idea of fun and secondly he couldn't truly hurt the girl he actually cared for.

Oh. Shit.

[/i][/b] Sakura thought to herself as some the arrows hovering above her hit her right frontward limb, instantly paralyzing her. She was able to somewhat roll out of the way of the others, however, leaving the rest to fall onto Vayate, who had been directly underneath her. She changed out of her cheetah form, raising to her feet with a little difficulty, since she only had one arm that was fully functional. "I think that backfired a little."[/b] She said, inspecting him for any paralysis that might have been caused by his arrows. She grabbed her right arm with her left, slowly staggering towards him.

Suddenly, ice emerged from underneath Sakura's feet, coating the area around her with a thin layer of the frozen water. Even if Vayate were to get up, he would have a hard time keeping his balance on the slippery surface. "Alright, you've pissed me off!"[/b] Sakura yelled, her purple eyes glowing with the fury of battle. She slammed her one good hand to the ground again, binding Vayate to the ground with ice crystals. In the blink of an eye, she was behind him, not hesitating before striking him with her Magic Handcuffs. If he tried to say anything, Sakura would clamp her hand over his mouth and form an ice-like tape over it, so that he wouldn't be able to talk.

"Done yet?"[/b]

She was looking for a nod or a shake of the head.

As two of his arrows hit her with the intended effect the remaining seven ventured towards their master. Continuing his ability to control their movement with his mind, he shifted them to fire at Sakura once more, aimed at her torso, limbs and head. He was no longer taking any chances as she was intending to kill or hurt him. He would still only paralyze if they hit but this time he rose and slid backwards slamming his hammer into the ice to break it as he then rose his hammer to block her attack from behind only to wind up with the pick of his hammer in his left side.

Somewhere in the flipping and blocking he had preformed an extra move, A careless one at that as his legs were iced over which restricted the proper movement of his body. A gaping hole now in his side where he wasn't protected from his own weapon. His legs unable to move he smiled before coughing up blood softly and beginning an Incantatum, "Through my wind, may It heal you, aide you, and guide you through the world, Maesus verde! Awaken! Healing Incantatum!", a green sigil with wind runes appearing below him began to heal his wound slowly. He would continue to fight from his position if he could, losing was not an option.

Whilst bleeding out and being healed slowly he found solemn in the fact that Sakura wasn't holding back. And so neither would he. His left hand reached for his gun and drew it quickly firing two of the rounds from the eight chambered gun in her direction. Each bullet was loaded with a lightning arrow and would paralyze like the arrows from before.

Sakura let out a small tch. as Vayate's arrows did not do what she had expected them to. She rolled out of the path of the weapons, letting them crash into the stone wall behind her. The rest of her movements went as planned, up until her finishing move. "I assure you, I have no intention of kissing you! So you better be ready!"

[/b] she said almost playfully, turning sideways to the bullets. They both hit her arm dead-on, but the same arm that was already paralyzed, thus doing no further effects to her body. If anything, it only extended the duration of the condition.

Putting her scythe back under her sleeve in one, swift movement, the small girl raced towards her opponent, arriving in front of him almost instantly. She aimed an upward punch to his jaw, at the same time directing a forceful blow to his groin to her knee. She knew she had to defeat him- even if she did it cheaply.

Vayate had very little time to react as he used hsi own knee to protect his groin but rolled with her noggin knocker, descending to the ground a few feet away. Rising he pulled his hammer out of himself and with a squirt of blood spun it in his left hand pointing at her, he fired two more bullets as he rushed her and aimed a kick at her breast area, continuing his volley with his hammer to her right side.

If they hit hopefully he would but himself some time. Huffing and breathing hard as his kidney slowly healed from being ruptured, the healing glyph being upon his armor allowed him to "cheat" and move while it worked. His skin color fading from the earlier blood loss he would attempt a spin kick to her left side after the right side one regardless if it hit, and then attempt to follow it up with a leg sweep and second hammer smack to her breasts. It was playing dirty but she started it with groin shots.

Sakura knew her cheap shot wasn't going to hit. For one, they never did, and more than anything, she had done it halfheartedly. She didn't want to hurt him like that, take advantage of a man's weakness. Her actions were more to get him angry than anything else. Anger, she decided, was man's worse enemy. So, she had decided to kick him where she knew no man could possibly resist retaliating against, just to piss him off, fully knowing that in almost all cases, it wouldn't meet it's target.

It seemed like her plan had worked, as Vayate aimed a kick to her bosom and tried to hit her right arm with his hammer. She grabbed his leg and threw flipped him face-down on the pavement, completely ignoring his hammer attack and volley. Since the mage had flipped him, the hammer had also flipped in his hand, the pick side taking a direct hit to her arm. It sliced through her muscle, blood gushing out of the wound. Luckily, because of Vayate's paralysis, she couldn't feel anything due to her frozen nerve cells, the volley only increasing it so. Without hesitating, Sakura ripped the weapon out of her arm with her left hand and swung it, hammer side down, onto Vayate's skull. If she successfully knocked him out, there was no reason why his healing magic could wake him up; he would have to wake up himself, possibly after a few minutes.

Meanwhile, unbeknownst to the small mage, the blood continued to flow out of her arm, it's sticky redness streaming to her fingers.

Vayate was a little too weak to resist the flipping and so decided to roll with it, banging his shoulder hard against the ground. Rising only to use his left forearm to block his own hammer! hearing a sick crunch as his forearm was shattered he attempted a dual kick to her stomach and rolled away regardless rising five feet away firing the remaining four bullets at her chest before reloading and continuing to move. He would have to remain mobile with his hammer not in his possession and his casting arm broken.

He said playfully to the object of his heart,"Sakura! I am sorry for hurting you. I promise to make it up to you.", what else could he say? He and she were purposefully trying to hurt each other despite the feelings he possessed and was unsure of if she felt the same. What a homecoming this was turning into... a fight for ones own life.
