The air was become foul and horrid. Something was changing it and corrupting the surroundings. As Shinzu walked through the ruins, he was not presented with the usual bland sight of brownish rubble, but rather this time a faint black mist tainting the air that felt almost toxic to breath in. To test this theory, he would take in a deep breath, allowing his lungs to fill to the brim before he would expel the mist from his body through a harsh series of coughing sounds. "Damn it." He cursed as his lungs began to burn in agony.
Before he could even attempt to check in just how bad of a condition his body was in, things would shift further into the realms of danger as some sort of strange creature appeared out of nowhere. The beast in particular appeared to be bipedal, however with two large arms with mountainous structures on its shoulders. This two objects protruding from it appeared to be the source of the mist, which became obvious if a observant person looked closely at the way it would expel a strange gas every few moments.

Although this beast was different to the others, it shared the same strange dark glow as its brethren, suggesting to Shinzu that it was indeed a enemy that would not hesitate to strike first if he gave it the initiative. Bearing this in mind, the teen would brandish his blade before diving at the foe head first. Upon reaching the creature who seemed to not even bother to notice the mage, he would simply slash the enemy across the mid section before parting with a barrage of slashes all over its body to make sure that the job had been done.
After ceasing with his attack, Shinzu would grow wide eyed at the state of his weapon which had become blunt and rusted by the corrosive mist. Checking back at the foe for confirmation, the teen would notice that his attack had done nothing to it as it lifted his arm and suddenly pummeled the mage into the ground. With a harsh snicked, the vile creature revealed rows of jagged teeth as it once again stomped on Shinzu, this time keeping its foot in place as to prevent him from squirming free.

Shinzu felt his very bones breaking under the pressure of the beasts foot. Staring back at it, he would then meet with the foul stench of the foes breath, which seemed to be even more nauseating then the mist it was expelling. "Bastard." The teen stated in a moment of defiance, causing his foe to lift up his foot in a attempt to crush the boys skull. Before the beast could cause it to come crashing down however, he would roll over to the side to dodge it, though not without cost.
Suddenly, Shinzu would begin coughing blood as his already damaged ribs began to crack and break off from the strain of suddenly rolling away. Refusing to allow himself to fall unconscious however, the teen extended his arm outward before unleashing a blast of subzero air. The cold didn't seem to do much to the beast, however that wasn't the target anyway. Suddenly, the foe would begin howling in pain as he realized that the vents on his shoulders had become sealed shut from all the ice. Desperately, it would attempt to shatter the ice by slamming onto its back. All attempts to do so however would prove futile as eventually its body could take the strain of all the built up pressure no more and simply exploded in a violently storm of toxic gas.
