Riley smiled a little once more at Misa, truly thinking that she was a good person, even if her brother was not. With that being said, if anyone could sway Haru, it was likely his twin, so it would be in everyone's best interest if Misa stayed the way she was, and was not jaded as Haru was. "I would be honored if you were to visit my guild," she assured, giving a bit of a bow of her head to the girl.
She could feel Haru glaring holes in the back of her head, but ignored the feeling. It had become painfully obvious to her that it was a waste of her time to try and reason with the boy. She didn't mind helping people, but when they didn't even bother to listen to her, it made it terribly difficult.
"It must be hard on you, Misa," She remarked, giving a bit of a sigh as she did so, "I know your family means well, but they don't listen very well," she pointed out, frowning a bit as she glanced to Takeo and Rema. "My lady, he has hated me from the moment he set eyes on me. He would have found a reason to be bitter and to hate me," she pointed out, shaking her head a little as she did so.
"More so than the guild itself, his behavior alarms me." She mused, bringing her hands to rest on her hips, she had to chuckle at Rema's words about her not understanding Haru, "I have already said that I do understand many of the things he has spoken of, but neither of you seem to want to hear me, so I suppose this will fall unto deaf ears as well." She sighed a bit, her cheek twitching a bit as Rema had told Misa to keep her mouth shut.
"So, Haru can have tantrums, say and do whatever he likes, but Misa cannot even speak her mind?" Riley asked, seeming particularly offended by this (likely because she would never speak to her adoptive daughter in such a way, and perhaps partly because her own mother had treated her poorly), but rather than try to start a fight, she shook her head a little, looking to the girl in question.
"If you would like to come with me now to visit my guild, that is okay with me, Misa," the dark haired young woman offered, "I will escort you there, and back, to ensure that nothing happens to you along the way." She promised, which was perhaps more to keep Rema at bay than anything else.
Speaking of the woman, she glanced towards her and the old man, "do not worry, I have no intention of trying to convince her to join my guild. I am merely offering her a chance to stand on the other side of the fence," she assured.
