After a long session of confusing and bewildering her peers, she snuck away, as they had their attention on some illusion she had made to occupy them. She did this a few times, not many, as it made her tired, and she didnt want to be tired for her first mission!
But, she got away with little harm done to her or her magical abilities. She waited outside the guild for some time, hiding in a tree from th boys. They were a bit of a bother, but she was sure she would get used to them. Better than being alone, she supposed.
When Calyco got there, she waved at her, swinging her sleeve a bit so she could see it, and hopefully not give her position away at the same time to the boys. She still had the mission board notice in her hand, just so she would be clear of their objective.

Name: Mail Errands! Rank: D Posts Required: 2 Objective: The local postmen have lost several of their mailmen to the fluu and now need a hand getting the letters out around town, help them out for a bag of Jewels and to help you learn your way around the town better, and meet new people! Reward: 50 Jewels Exp: 20 Calyco had all her equipment with her, not that there was much of it anyways. She had a shiny armor on her, it looked knightly but without any helmet. Her sword was right besides her in a sheath around her hip, it wasn't long, at least not touching the ground. The girl waved at her from her position on a tree, the boys were running around looking for someone, one stopped to ask Calyco "Have you seen the new member?" he almost whispered, the other boys were still looking around. "I think she went that way." she pointed out to a random street. Perhaps he will be fooled, and he was. The group of them left to pursue the street she just pointed.
"Well, it's safe now." she waved at the girl to get down. "Do you know your way around Magnolia?" even Calyco didn't know all of it, the city was just that big. "Let's start by getting to the client." she then looked at the street signs, pointed at one. She was sure it lead to the post office. When they entered the street, all kinds of people were running around, it was one of the bigger streets, the post office was really nearby, just two or three blocks away from the guild.

When they ran off, she signed in relief, and crawled out of the tree, oddly her clothing didnt snag on anything. She looked her over, and blinked a bit. Are we expecting... trouble at the post office? She sounded confused, cause Calyco seemed way over prepared for such a small mission, or so it seemed.
She looked over the streets, and felt lost already, frowning a bit. I havent been in this city long, I only found my way to your-I mean, our... guild by following people to it. She was going to need some time to get used to being affiliated with a guild. She nodded at the directions, and followed Calyco through the busy streets.
They passed through thick crowds of people moving about their daily lives, Sukai almost getting trampled several times, but managing not to get her clothes stepped on, thankfully. When the crossed to the post office, she took a look around, and found that there were many people there to get packages and mail, but not nearly enough people to help them all. Does everyone come here to get their mail? Or will we actually be running around the town to deliver it? She inquired, a bit unsure.

Calyco was always prepared, on the way she would tell Sukai it was always good to get more than you need for a mission, who knows it would turn into a much more difficult one. "I see, so you aren't from around here. You can get a map later at the post office.". She then lead the way, they were finally at the entrance, when she opened up too many people was already inside getting their mail and boxes. They walked up towards the offices area and requested to see the client, a middle aged man came in with two packages, apparently they were meant to be delivered to one person but the route to their house is a difficult one due to the recent storms some of the passages were blocked off and the way was too steep for a normal postman to walk.
Calyco asked for a map for Sukai, the man then gave them instructions on how to get to the house which was placed highest in the city. The roads will definitely be difficult with occasional rock climbing "Are you up to the task?" she asked hoping the girl wouldn't shy away from this. It will take some physical strength to climb up there, Calyco took it as light tracking.

She frowned at the idea of having to do more climbing. The tree was difficult enough, let alone doing it quietly, but she supposed she had little choice if she wanted her first mission to be a success. She took the map, Thank you, she said as she took it, and began to look it over, as the older man pointed out the place, and she looked at hte possible routs they could take.
Upon hearing of the storms, and how paths may be blocked, she frowned, and the idea of climbing loomed over her like the tall branches of the tree she had climbed earlier. Except this climbing would be done on unsteady heaps of rubble or junk, thus, more dangerous. It comes with the job, she supposed, and nodded to Calyco, I cant let something so small as a roadblock stop me from finishing a mission. I wont get anywhere if I do that. And with that, she grabs one of the packages, and begins to walk out, the map in her face, looking away from it occasionally to make sure shes going in the right direction.
She waited for her at the door before continueing on, believing that she had grabbed the other package, and tried to take the lead into the big city full of people.

"I cant let something so small as a roadblock stop me from finishing a mission. I wont get anywhere if I do that." So it seems like Sukai had determination after all but we will see how she actually fares. Both took a package from the man, she thanked him and left behind her friend. The sun was shining, there weren't that many clouds, the day was much better than the last days and certainly a good one for a small hike into the mountain. She then lead the group up the city, luckily they were still in the city so stairs helped a lot.
Soon they were at the border of the city, the road began to get dirtier until it was really becoming muddy, one could easily have guessed it was raining recently. A few trees were on the ground rooted from their position, the mage just climbed over them or used her sword to cut some branches when they were making it more difficult, she occasionally looked behind to see how Sukai fared, ready to help whenever the girl needed. They were now halfway to the top, the road was much smaller and slippy at times, she had to use her sword to to slip down.
After much strife, they would hopefully arrive at the road's end although their journey didn't end, just up the rocks they could see a house, that is where they should be going but the rocks were obstacle. The rocks stood at least 5 m tall in irregular pattern, she wondered what they should do, climb over them or think of something else. "So what do you think we should do?" she asked her partner to see if she had an idea, after all this was Sukai's mission, she should be the one who decides the course.

They trudged up the town, carrying the two boxes, Sukai growing tired as they made their way up to the edge of town, where the furthest parcels were to be delivered. Why anyone would live way up there, Sukai had no idea. They crossed over fallen trees, and walked around many other obstacles, untill they saw the house, and the path that was blocked with large boulders, and she frowned deeply. Really? When they were so close?
Calyco asked her opinion on what to do, and she blinked a moment, being drawn out of her slight sulk, and stood quietly, as she thought of what they could do. Her magic was useless here, specializing in illusions and the like. Climbing, or going around these would be our best bet, I believe... She said at last, as she looked them over, but saw that it would take them well out of their way to go around, though climbing didnt seem likely either.
She set the box down, and pulled out a weapon she had hidden in her kimono, a sharp weight on a very long piece of cloth that matched her kimono, blending in fairly well. She looked for a minute for a place to throw it so it would catch onto the rock, and having found a decent place to try for, threw it! It missed, and clanged down, smashing into the ground, as she lept back, to avoid it hitting her. She attempted this several times more, before it finally got up around a rock, and was caught between two so she could pull herself up.
The next step was, of course, pulling herself up. And with the box to carry with her, it wasnt easy in the slightest. She fell, several times, and dropped the box once or twice. She refused politely if help was offered, wanting to get over this obstacle with her own ability, even if it took all night. It almost did, too. The sun was setting by the time she got herself and the box on up where she had her weighted weapon stuck, and from there, had one more good throw to get it the rest of the way over. It was nightfall by the time she got to the top, and she was panting, tired, her kimono dirty from the days long traveling, falling, and climbing, but she had her package with her as she stood on top of the last obstacle standing in their way.
There was just one problem. Now that she was up there, she wasnt sure how to get back down... She looked nervously over the edge, and saw how far down it was to the ground, and didnt like the idea of falling. She imagined that she would break something if she did fall, even from halfway. She didnt see and good places to nitch her weight below her, so she made it stuck tight where she was, and hopped it was long enough to get her most of the way down. Climbing down, she got most of the way down, but there was a bit of space between her and the ground which was her destination.
Bitting her lip, the package under one arm, the other hand holding the cloth, she took a deep breath, and let go, dropping straight down. She landed on her feet, which hurt, but she only winced, and held back a gasp, her feet and ankles in pain, but she stood anyway. She looked at her partner, and said, as calmly as she could Just over there, yes? Lets deliver these packages then. before slowly walking towards the house.

She stood there quietly listening to what Sukai decided to do "Climbing, or going around these would be our best bet, I believe.." she went at last. Sukai looked somewhat scared, Calyco still didn't know the girls capability so this should really be enlightening. She watched as the girl put down the box and draw a peculiar weapon hidden inside a kimono, the next action the girl did gave her the general idea of what she was going to do. "Oh, I see." she smiled praising the idea Sukai had.
The first attempt sent down a thing or two but it missed them or rather they dodged it. A few more attempts were successful, she managed to wrap the weapon around a rock, now she pulls herself up? Calyco watched some more before Sukai fell for the first time but didn't look like she was going to give up, that's the spirit she thought. The mage closed her eyes and chanted "Come forth my Noble Scarlet!" and a beautiful angel emerged from her back radiating energy, it had white wings to complete it.
Calyco hold her hands together with the angels then they took of into the higher ground passing Sukai in the process where they stopped for a while "Do you want a ride?" she asked to see the girls resolve but was surprised, in a good way that she refused. She then got to the top with the angels where it merged back with Calyco, so finally there huh she though. The house was now just a few meters away, it was a small cabin really and she wondered who could have been living there.
She knocked on the door once or twice, someone came to open it, a young child, probably a boy who was wearing shorts and a red cap. Following the child was a much older person roughly around 70s or so, the man was wearing traditional kimono with a white headband that had a red round symbol written on it saying "Master". "Ohh, eh.... Hello Master" she greeted him and winked at the kid. The old man laughed, he then explained he was a fireworks master. She gave him the package and told him her partner would be coming soon.
Hours passed by and Calyco wondered where Sukai was, it was almost night now, the old man Kenzo offered to cook something up for the mage and her partner when she arrives, he was well aware of Sukai climbing up. Calyco accepted the invitation to a dinner and was ready to go see Sukai but as she opened the doors she was standing at the top, that Sukai did it. "Oh, welcome. Let's go inside for some dinner." she was glad everything worked out this way, they also got a nice bonus with the dinner thing. The mission would be over once they finished here.

She made her way slowly towards the house, and stood a moment in front of it, before raising her hand to knock, when Calyco opened the door, and invited her in. She walked in tentatively, her feet still sensetive from the fall. She agreed to the dinner, being very greatful after her tiring ordeal, but insisted upon delivering the package and having the master sign for it first. Once done, she sat with them, and stayed quiet mostly, speaking only a little here and there, unless addressed directly.
She sat in the chair with her feet off the ground, crossed at the ankles, and raised slightly, so as to keep strain off of them. She would need to bandage them later, hopefully she could soak them and have them better in a day or two. After they had eaten, she hesitated, but then asked what was in the packages, being fairly curious as to what they were hauling all up and down town.

The master laughed at the question Sukai asked him about what was inside those boxes. "You'll see the fireworks in a few days. The festival should be nice this year since the weather is supposed to be very clear for that night." the man laughed again with happiness. Calyco thanked them after eating, it should be time to go home, she was shown a shortcut in the form of a hidden elevator just outside the house, it'll take the both of them to the foot of the mountain where it will be easy to enter Magnolia. She would say bye to them and leave, there was still some business at the guild she wanted to talk to the current master. "Let's meet at the guild some times again. Also well done one your first mission." she said with a smile before poofing into the dark.

She smiled a bit at the thought. She hadnt been to a festival in a very long time, so this would be interesting. She nodded a bit, and thanked the old master, and once shown the way out, thanked him again, before of course, taking the elevator. Her body ached too much to climb back over those rocks and make her way down the mountain.
She blinked as Calyco congratulated her, and smiled again, realizing her job was done for today. Thank you, it was... Interesting. I do hope to work with you again, Calyco. She said before Calyco poofed. She smiled, believing this kind of life would suit her just fine, if she could get a little better with her magic. Who knows? Things were looking up, despite her achyness.
