We LIVE to fight
Everybody, with your fists raised high let me hear your battle cry tonight!
STAND BESIDE OR STEP ASIDE Name: Monkeying Around Rank: B Post Limit:: 3 Objective: The zoo in Magnolia town has been taken over by a High Level mage with the power to cast a hypnotic spell over animals - a spell which puts them under his complete and utter control. All people have supposedly vacated the premises, and the doors have been barred to prevent the animals from spilling into the streets of Magnolia, but they will not last long without assistance. Be wary, animals prowl around every corner, and the zoo will not give you your reward if you kill any of their animals! Reward: 450 Exp: 60
A gentle breeze blew through the streets of Magnolia, tossing Sora's hair around as he stared up at the blue sky. White fluffy clouds would pass by slowly, giving off a peaceful scene. Of course, Magnolia was not in the middle of peace at the moment. The roars, cries, and shrieks of animals filled the air. There was the occasional scream of a Fiore military member that was being chased out of the city's zoo by an out of control animal. A whole group of the soldiers were lined up outside the gate, garbed in their regular robes, shields, and spears. When Sora looked down, he just smiled slyly, as he was humored by their attempts at controlling the creatures. Actually, the lack thereof, all the soldiers were outside of the zoo, scared to go in with the animals that were apparently being controlled by some wizard. Sora rolled his head around, getting his neck to make a slight cracking noise as he then let his head hang forward. His amber eyes peered into the brick ground that the bench he was sitting on was built into. The Dragon Slayer released a sigh as he put his hands on his knees and pushed himself up. It was time that he accomplish the task he came here for. On his feet, Sora grabbed the wooden staff that was leaning against the bench and twirled it around before placing its end into the ground, giving of a quick snap of the impact. He then started walking towards the gate, getting looks from the soldiers as he came up to them. "I'm here to stop the beast wizard!" he announced, showing off his teeth in a smile.

She was staring at the tigers from inside the now closed hot dog food stall, eating from a bag of chips. She found it hilarious how all of a sudden, animals were wandering around the zoo! She believed it to be a part of their interactive entertainment they were talking about in the brochure.
Either way, she was having a blast, getting to meet all the animals and see them doing their thing! Though they were acting wierd... maybe that was cause they were not used to being loose or something. Either way, she was enjoying herself. She turned around, and started rummaging for more food. She was really hungry right now.
She heard a scuffling, and looked around to see what it was. Seeing nothing right away, she went back to rummaging in the cooler for more food, not caring what was watching her, if anything was there, or if it was part of her imagination. This place was really cool.

Koryu leaned against the side of the wooden bench his partner sat upon, the dark wood cool on his back as the sun beamed down from above. The occasional cloud would drift by and bathe the land in shadow, but the azure sky was mostly clear, and the day itself was almost picturesque. But the silver cat paid little attention to the weather, a slight frown on his face as he stared not at the sky, but at the chaos stretched out before him. In front of the partners was the Magnolia zoo, a large complex that housed a variety of local and exotic fauna, and one of the main attractions of the city. Presently the zoo was alive with the angered cries of creatures, some familiar and some less than so, which wasn’t too out of the ordinary, but the contingent of Fiore soldiers in front of the gate was.
The mage sighed as another group of soldiers ran screaming out of the zoo, weapons, armor, and dignity being lost as they hastily retreated, as a thick wooden gate was closed behind them, sealing off the entrance to the zoo. A moment later something large and heavy slammed against the gate, causing the logs to splinter slightly and the soldiers holding it to fly back onto the stone path, though the gate still held fast against the animals inside. It was obviously up to the mages to fix the problem, as always. As good as they looked in their dark blue and yellow garments and shiny spears and shields, the Fiore military was useless, and the soldiers, all lined up neatly in front of the gate and cowering in fear, were just more proof of this.
Scowling in disgust at the pitiful sight, Koryu lifted himself up from the bench, giving his paws a stretch as he heard his partner Sora do the same behind him. His ears catching the sharp rap of wood against stone the cat glanced behind him, noticing the Dragon Slayer strut past him with his new staff gripped firmly in hand. Shaking his head, Koryu followed closely behind, his eyes moving to glance upwards towards his partner. ”Remind me again why you bought that oversized stick, and not something useful? Like perhaps an actual weapon.”
Brushing past his partner, the silver cat approached the group of soldiers huddled in front of the gate. The cowards had no knowledge of the mages’ coming, and were unaware of their presence, at least that was until Sora loudly announced their intention to take down the “beast wizard”. Most of the soldiers turned their heads to regard the newcomers, and a few even jumped in fearful surprise before realizing the source of the noise, but none moved, save for a single burly man, who unlike the rest of his group, seemed to have an ounce of bravery about him. Not that he was actually off fighting and risking his life for king and country, but at least Koryu saw that the man wasn’t shaking in his boots.
Lifting up a gloved hand the soldier stopped in front of the mages, blocking their path with his body as he looked the pair over with a grimace. “This isn’t a place for a boy and his cat. The zoo is dangerous and under the protection of the Fiore military. I suggest you move along.” Smirking at the soldier, Koryu flicked his tail towards the gate, amused at the man’s bravado despite his comrades…less than remarkable appearance. ”It certainly seems like you have everything under control. I never knew cowering could be so intimidating.” At this the soldier’s gaze snapped towards the silver cat, his eyes narrowed and shooting daggers at the feline. “I don’t care if you can talk or not, I’m not letting some small pampered kitty cat go into that zoo, only to need rescuing a minute later. So scram.”
Frustrated, the man began turning away from the pair, until he caught sight of the purple guild mark on Koryu’s back as the mage shifted his position and adjusted the hilt on his back. Matching the soldier’s look of anger, the cat took a step forward, eyeing the man with sheer hatred. ”We’re mages of Kitsune Lament, and we’re here to take down whatever’s inside that zoo. Now either you let us in, or I can personally show you what a dark guild does to those that get in its way.” His full attention now on Koryu and his partner, the soldier began reaching for the sword at his side, but paused just as his fingers touched the hilt. A moment later the soldier let out a resigned sigh, whistled towards the rest of the group, and motioned with his hand. Almost at once several of the soldiers moved to either side of the gate, preparing to swing open the entrance. Glancing back at the cat, the man waved them towards the zoo, though his hand rested on his blade as he did so. “Alright, we’ll let you in. But that gate is being locked behind you, and I won’t open it until its all clear. You magic lot all seem the same to me, but if I see anything funny going on inside, I’ll have the entire Fiore military here before you know it.”
Casting a single dark look towards the man, Koryu walked in the direction of the zoo, expecting Sora to follow him. The formation of soldiers parted as they approached, most of the men nervously clutching at their weapons as they tried to avoid eye contact with the mages. It was pathetic to the feline, but he ignored the humans, instead concentrating on what lay ahead. The heavy wooden gate groaned in protest as it swung open once they neared the zoo, the soldiers behind the partners diving for cover as once more the inside of the complex was exposed. Peering forward, Koryu couldn’t see anything moving, or any sign of life at all, only an abandoned cobblestone road leading onwards into the zoo. Adjusting the strap of his weapon, the cat entered the zoo with his partner, and only a few seconds later the gate slammed shut behind them, the sound a heavy bolt being dragged across reaching the mage’s perked ears. But he had no thoughts of going back, for they had mission.
And it was time to show Fiore’s “righteous and mighty” military how a mage did a job.

We FIGHT to live
We LIVE to fight
Everybody, with your fists raised high let me hear your battle cry tonight!
STAND BESIDE OR STEP ASIDE Sora heard his partner give a snarky comment about his staff, to which the Dragon Slayer just smiled. "You mean it doesn't make me look more like a wizard, standing here with a staff?" he asked, flashing his elongated fangs. When the two had reached the gate, and after Sora's announcement, Koryu was the the one that went forward to talk to the guards. Their leader had stepped forward, and Sora decided to kick his legs over to the side and throw all his weight onto his staff as he watched the events unfold. He paid partial attention to the conversation that the two were having, and he kept a goofy smile as his brain processed the cat's dialogue. That is what happened because of he heightened senses, even if he did not want to pay attention to what was going on, he would still hear. When he heard Koryu threaten the gurd about the wrath of a Dark Guild, Sora kept the same stance and posture that he had when the lead guard stared at him. Maybe that caused the mango have disbelief abut their power, but with more coaxing by his partner, Sora heard the man give into the feline. "Don't worry, even if you did want to open the gate gate I don't think your me would actually follow through with your order. Geez, with soldiers like that why should we be scared of the army?" Sora stated as he followed his partner through the open door into the zoo, waving off the soldiers with his left hand. When the wooden doors came crashing closed behind him a smirk came across is face. "Now the fun begins," he muttered while he lifted his wooden staff into the air. Surely the creatures would come running if they felt something wrong with the wind in the zoo, after all, animals understood the weather on a completely different level than humans. "Koryu, remember, if we kill any of 'em we won't get the reward!" he shouted as he let gray wind form around his body, blowing all his clothes around as fast wind usually does. The gray wind had even spread to go around the staff that was in the Dragon Slayer's hand, giving it more power than it would have had regularly. It took a minute, but soon enough a roar was heard from a beast. It stood directly down the path from Sora and Koryu. It was definitely one of the more exotic animals as it had hard looking skin with several horns protruding from the top of its head. It was stamping and scraping its right front hoof on the ground as though it was preparing to do something. "Let's take this thing down," Sora said as he readied himself into a combat position, keeping his wind wrapped around his body. Mana: 20/20 Apprentice [25 Stat Points]: The character is able to cast one spell of higher level per thread, if their mana pool allows it, and the character can use greenhorn level aura which can be used to make regular punches, kicks, or any regular non magical attack become enchanted with the user's magic (which wouldn't drain mana).

She heard something outside, and stepped, taking a look over the counter to see what it was. Through the shuttered doors, she crawled over the counter and peeked through. She saw someone had entered the zoo, with a weird looking cat, and there was some exotic animal that was staring them down, looking ready to charge. This place really knows how to excite its guests! She said to herself, before giggling a bit.
She stood there eating chips, kinda loudly, and waited for the battle to begin. Unknowingly, she had an adversary of her own lurking not too far away from her. A gorilla made its way down from its hiding place in the rafters above, and landed with a loud THUD onto the counter. Rarda turned in time to see it rise itself up and roar, pounding its chest, as if challenging her.
She grinned, threw the bag of chips down, and called out her own challenge to it, You want a piece of me?! Come and get it then! It lept at her, faster than she expected, and slammed into her, squishing her into the ground, and rolling through the doors, knocking them off their hinges, and throwing her away. She landed some distance away, her head spinning as she tried to get up.
She could focus enough to see it charging at her again, and gathered a mouthful of lightning, before sneezing it out at the gorilla, shocking it, making it freak out and stay back, confused and hurt slightly. This gave her time to leap up, and she punched it in its ugly face, which startled, and enraged it. She had just enough time to escape its crushing bear hug, leaping back, when she noticed the other two and their opponent.
She waved smiling happily at them. This place sure is fun, huh? She had just enough time to say this, before ducking a swing from the gorilla, and turning her visual attention back to it.
