The office of the Guild Assistant was about half of the size of the Guild Master but still held the same open door policy as the adjacent room. Most would believe the room to be cramped but to Durriken the room was cozy and reminded him of his roots. It was barely bigger than the wagon he and his mother shared during his childhood.
In the back left corner of the room near the window there was a set of cabinets apparently flush with the wall and another set of cabinets above near the ceiling. In between the two there was just a plain wood wall and for some reason two chains hung there as well. Looks can be decieving though specially for those who are used to space being at a premium. The plain piece of wood between the two cabinets hid the bed Durriken slept on at night. It could be pulled down and had two hooks which attached to the chains and allowed it to rest safely in mid air. The cabinet above the bed would hold the bed sheets and pillow while the cabinet below held his cloths.
Just below the bed area there seemed to be a pedestal table. It had a large marble post and a dark purple silk tablecloth on top. As before looks can be deceiving. If the table cloth was removed a person would discover a simple piece of plywood and once that was removed they would find that the table was actually a wash basin. There was no running water in the room but with magic it was quite easy to get and heat water for simple things such as brushing of teeth and the washing of the face. Above the basin in line with the cabinets over the bed there were more cabinets these filled with linen such as towels, washcloths and other toiletries.
In the middle of the room facing the door there was a large desk framed by the window behind it that opened out on the town. The desk was a nicely stained redwood desk covered with papers normally as well as some tarot cards and other fortune telling devices. In the one corner there was even a crystal ball sitting on a metal ring so it would not roll around. The legs of the desk were painted in the same dark purple with Celtic knots.
Across the room from the bed there was a small sofa more of a loveseat. It was dark purple as well and very plush looking. On each side of the sofa was a small round hard wood side table with a lamp and a stack of books. Above the sofa was a large framed painting that showed Durriken at age sixteen right before he left to live on his own with the entire current circus staff and some who came back just to see him off.
In the back right corner there were a few filing cabinets that held important information and was locked with both a magical and a mundane lock. The same combinations of locks were also present on his outside window and the door to his office. Durriken knew how easy it was to pick a lock so didn't trust them much.
Lastly in the middle of the room there was a dark black rug over the wooden floors with similar Celtic knots this time in white around the outside border of the rug.
