Maddox was a bit stunned by Syana's words, mostly because he had no idea what to say in response to it. "Well. Cats like me. And my owl likes me... That's all I need," he mumbled, sounding a bit defeated as he did so.
"You can hold it any way you want, as long as there's enough for him to grab onto," Riley giggled a bit at her brother, watching the owl hop across her shoulder to get a little closer to Syana's extended hand. The bird tilted his head to either side, observing her hand, as well as Syana herself, before tipping down and gingerly picking the treat from her palm. Her gobbled it down as quickly as he had the first, allowing his head to nuzzle her hand in thanks before her popped upright on Riley's shoulder.
As Syana mentioned that there were more boats approaching, Riley turned her head to look at them, her green eyes dancing a bit as she eyed them. They didn't really concern her at first, because they looked to be official ships, but a strange, blue fog began to roll over the sea, causing her to sigh a bit.
"Ah, it seems that I have to begin my work," she mused, her eyes dancing to try to see through the fog, with little luck. She looked towards Atlas, whom has perked up and was looking around, confirming that the fog was not a natural one.
"... What exactly are you doing on this ship?" Maddox asked, drawing Syana protectively closer to him as he did so.
"Stop the pirates, once and for all," the young woman answered, raising a hand to rub a little at the side of her neck, "it's fine for you two to go inside, if you want to." Riley assured.
Maddox looked to Syana at this point, to see what she wished to do.

Syana couldn't help but laugh when Atlas began to peck at the food on her hand. "That tickles." She said through small giggles before massaging Atlas' head when he nuzzled into her palm as a "You're welcome" gesture.
She looked towards Maddox, blushing. "I didn't mean anything bad by what I said earlier, Maddox. I'm sorry." She leaned in close to him, smiling. Just to notice the fog in the distance and glanced worriedly towards Maddox and Riley. Listening to Riley speak about what was going to happen. "Miss Riley, be well." She said softly, glancing towards Maddox once more before realizing the dolphins had submerged and hidden underwater.
"Maddox, what do you think?" she asked, shifting her gaze towards Maddox. "I think we should leave Mokona to eat, but l don't want to cause any trouble, but maybe we should stay around everybody else in case and pirates get on the boat and cause problems." She folded her arms, looking thoughtful. She didn't want to cause Maddox anymore trouble.

Maddox looked a bit uncertain for a moment, as he looked about at the approaching fog, he was certain that he could hear and sense something within it, making him narrow his eye slightly. Once he tore his gaze away, he looked towards his sister.
"I'll be fine on my own. Syana is right, you guys should go ahead and check on the people inside. There's no telling what direction, or directions, they will be coming from," Riley pointed out, stalking to the railing to peer down into the water - which she could no longer see due to the fog. Atlas made a soft sound, his head bobbing and going as he looked and listened.
"Right, lets go inside," Maddox nodded to Syana, still grasping her hand as he was somewhat hesitant to let it go under the current circumstances. He didn't want to get separated in the fog or have someone grab her. He even managed to forget that he left his luggage on the deck as he guided her into the ship, heading in the direction that Mokona had gone - the buffet area, which would no doubt be a crowded place.

Syana lowered her head to Riley, bidding her goodbye with a silent nod before following Maddox into the buffet room. As she glanced around, holding tightly onto Maddox's hand; she glanced around in search for the white bunny who had gone missing within the buffet table. He should be easy to find since there is one rabbit in a room full of humans. "Mokona..." Syana stated slowly, calling for the bunny with no prevail. "Mokona..." She looked side to side before the food caught her gaze. Mokona was right, it did look good.
"Maddox, the food looks delicious." She gasped, green eyes wide and her stomach rumbled slightly. She had forgotten about the fog and the possible Pirate invasion until she head speakers comment about how there is a strange fog rolling in so the boat was going to slow down and not hit any other boats. "Maddox, what do pirates look like?" She whispered, making sure Maddox was able to hear. "Peg legged with parrots on their shoulder with bandanna's?" She grimaced at the thought of the drunken pirate staggering onto the boat just to stab somebody innocent. "We can't allow that..." Sadness flickered in her eyes, if Maddox was to fight and got hurt, she would need to heal him. "Mokona..."

"Be safe," Riley waved a little as they left, wandering off to do her job, the owl perched intently upon her shoulder.
When the made it to the buffet area, Maddox hardly seemed impressed, though his green eye was scanning for any sign of the chubby rabbit that they had taken with them. "Maybe he ate himself into a coma," he commented, for once not trying to be snarky, he was simply making an honest remark on a genuine possibility.
"I suppose some might look like that, but that is mostly for storytelling purposes, I believe," Maddox mused, still grasping onto Syana as he moved more so into the room, "these are more dangerous," he began to say, his face expressionless, "they are probably dressed like normal people..."
He arched a brow as she made a comment about not telling something happen. What she was talking about, he had no idea, but he nodded slowly, allowing his focus to drift to the people around them, hoping to pick out anyone that might seem suspicious. "Mmhm, the food here is nice," he replied, voice a little distance as he was still looking around. "Lets see if Mokona is over here somewhere..." He added a moment later, guiding her towards the table, as he expected she was worried about the little, round rabbit.

Syana looked around and her gaze moved briefly to Maddox. If anything, he would be at one of the tables with the most delicious food on it. In Syana's case, it was sweets. As she shifted her gaze towards the dessert table, her green eyes flashed with hunger. The confectionery that dared her seemed to want to be eaten, but she snapped to the thought that Mokona was in need of assistance.
As she glanced around, her gaze followed Maddox's before her gaze snapped towards the kitchen. She let go of Maddox's hand. "Maybe he's not at the food tables..." She said softly, walking towards the kitchen and pushing the doors open. As she walked in, her green gaze looked around. He would be hiding so he got the food himself and nobody else would of. Sure enough, her thoughts were correct. He was hidden underneath the table with a big cake and was munching through it without a care. She walked over towards him and picked him up. "Come on Mokona, we have to get you back with us. There could be pirates around." She instantly froze and her gaze looked up, sure enough what she had feared previously was right. "we're not pirates, we're just here to take what is ours." Murmured a man, he leaned against the door behind her and locked it. Syana turned around to stare at him, listening to the door lock. She glanced towards Mokona and nodded. The jewel on his forehead glowed and her staff fell into her arms. "Bring it." She said slowly, looking up at him. She listened to him laugh, a laugh that intimidated her.
