Like rain, vast specs of snow were bombarding the ground, creating a white horizon consisting of a large empty space and several bushy trees that had lost all signs of green after being swallowed up by the weather. Running his fingers across one of these trees, Shinzu would scrap off mass amounts of snow which would fall and assimilate with the rest littering the ground, causing it to become lost in the sea of white. "Be wary. Though this cannot be called a snow storm yet, it is only a matter of time before the winds pick up to create a full scale blizzard."
To make sure no one would get left behind, Shinzu would look behind himself every few seconds only for his gaze to meet with Haru and Sakura's sluggish figures, the sight of which causing him to release a sigh of relief inside the safety of his mind. The conditions were definitely dangerous, so much so that even the teen himself was having difficulty traversing the snow which would seem to swallow up a quarter of his leg with each step forward. "It's not too late for the two of you to turn back, understand?"

Gazing up, Sakura looked at the falling snow. It was her homeland, but this kind of storm was merely a soft kitten compared to the murderous blizzards she had back at home. She picked up a frozen piece of ice in her hand and created her own piece in her other hand. Studying the difference between the two, she found that the ice she created seemed to be pulsing with light, while the other one was plain, normal. Once she was finished, she put the two pieces on the ground and crushed them with her foot. A voice in front of her made her look back around, her purple eyes snapping onto the back of Shinzu's head.
"Yes... this storm could be very bad for you two..." she couldn't help but giggle under her breath at Shinzu's comment. Clearly he wasn't used to blinding and crippling snowstorms! "And I highly doubt I'll be turning back now. Just as long as we don't go to my actual hometown, you'll be fine with me." she turned to the sky, her eyes defocused. "I decided I really don't like that place, and I would rather not return there." she commented, looking back at Shinzu. "So, who's your friend that's been beside me? He's kind of... I don't know... young? I haven't spoken to him yet..."

Haru had been invited to go on a little trip with his mentor. Of course he wanted to go. What he didn't know however was the few feet of snow they would be trailing through which was indeed a trial inside a trial. Being 5ft 2in and walking through a few feet of snow it was freezing and hard work. Jeez coming out of the snow he would probably have leg muscles like a gorilla. Haru's face no remorse or barely any expression besides the cheerful smile on his lips. The snow had started to fall harder making him question the need to get his eyes checked for blindness.
Once the girl had brought him up he gave a light smile, “Because I wanted to. What about you?” he asked out of impulse, seeing as he really didn't care about what that woman had to say. He really just cared about getting to fight something in a new environment. “Shinzu when are we gonna get there?” he asked with a pout on his face. The snow starting to get on his face, so to save him the numbness he twirled and tied his scarf around his face.

While the 'intruders' may not have been aware of Shiva Reese, Shiva Reese was well aware of the intruders. Certainly, he was in his weakest form (though weak was not really a fair term for it, considering most mages still couldn't hold a candle to him), but he was still well aware of their presence, and though the snow was deep and trying for the three mages, it posed little threat to him.
Albeit, he was a little more bundled up than usual, in a fluffy little white snowsuit, but his cheeks were simply a bit rosy from the cold, besides that his movement and such was more or less unhindered as he moved about in the snow - practically just walking along the surface of it.
When he came upon the intruders, whom seemed to be complaining, he eyed them from afar, bent down a bit, and proceeded to roll up some snow. One might have expected him to merely roll a single snowball, but he rolled perhaps half a dozen tightly packed orbs of snow, which he pelted at the three mages, giggling quietly to himself and diving into a dune of snow to hide himself completely before they could catch on to where he was.
Beneath the surface of the powder like snow, he made gestures like he was swimming, quickly bringing him far away from his previous location, while leaving only an occasional bump in the snow as evidence than he had even been there - pitiful evidence, at that.

"Haru." Such was the only response Shinzu would give to Sakura's question, which clearly lacked a lot of detail and some much needed explanations. Rather swiftly, his attention would then shift to something the girl had said previously. "Your home town? You haven't told me much about your past. Is this one of those moments where I should keep quiet, or am I free to pester you about it?" A shiver would then roll down the teens spine as he continued onwards, each step causing his foot to be buried under all the soft snow.
"I cannot predict when we will arrive. After all, there is no real 'destination'. Unlike places, human targets tend to be more tricky to track down. Then again... Sometimes they do have a strange habit of finding you before you can find them." As Shinzu uttered his final sentence he would abruptly duck downwards, narrowly avoiding a whizzing object which would brush past his hair before exploding against the snow in a cloud of white. Before the teen could react however, he would be pelted by the oncoming barrage, causing him to topple over from the surprising force behind each snowball. "Bastard..."
Following the trajectory of the tightly packed projectiles, Shinzu's eyes would lock onto a small dune in the distance, the perfect hiding place for a certain someone. "Haru. Sakura. Blow it up." The teen would state this in a rather cold way, almost like he was expecting his two allies to obey obediently. Meanwhile, the mage would grab the sword by his side, causing a slight reddish tint to cast itself over the intricate markings on the blade. Rather than his usual stance however, the sword was held in such a way that it looked more like it was going to be used to bat away any incoming snowballs. "Do not engage the target is what the poster stated, right? Too late to prevent that I suppose."

Suddenly Sakura's anti-fetish for people younger than her came back, despite seeing the psychiatrist and her anti-fetish going away since. Or, at least, she thought that was what she was feeling. Shinzu seemed to have some sort of connection with this... this... this child! I made her very jealous, despite the fact that Haru was a boy. In this situation it didn't matter what gender the kid was, just the fact that he seemed to be getting special treatment from Shinzu.
I will not allow this to happen! He's much to young to be stealing my Shinzu! Haru's not even all that cute for Shinzu's pedophile tendencies. I can't believe this and I must stop-
Sakura was suddenly hit upside her head with a snowball that seemed to be going 10,000mph. Being so deeply in thought, she didn't realize it was going to hit her and didn't have the reflexes to duck. It struck her square in the face, shocking the pink dressed girl who didn't move as it dripped off her face. Slowly, she fell back into the soft snow with a red mark in the middle of her face, her mind whirling.
Well, at least she missed the rest of the snowballs.
By the time that Sakura was able to stand again, Shinzu seemed to be barking orders to destroy something-or-other and to do it now. Seeing as she had no particularly damaging spells, she resorted to the next best thing: her assist magic. Swinging over to Haru, she poked his shoulder lightly and casted her ranged attack boost. Then, she went up and did the same to Shinzu, but with her melee boost. Content with what she had done, she stayed in the background and watched them.

Haru walked slowly behind the group and smiled. It had seemed Shinzu was talking like an old wise man which annoyed him a bit. The boy just stared through the snow, his jeans frozen solid making him shiver. Haru lived normally in a place without snow so he never really worried about winter gear and this was a first time he had ever been in any extreme colds. So of course dealing with something this extreme was chilling.
Haru kept right behind Shinzu, “You talk like an old person Shinzu.” Haru spoke up with a smile. Right after he spoke he tripped and face planted into the deep snow missing the pelting of snowballs. Of course it was much worse then being his by the packed snow spheres. After recovering from his fall he wiped the snow from his face and looked at Shinzu then around. He didn't exactly know what he was talking about but he assumed he was to attack the direction he was facing.
“Why'd you poke me,” Haru asked as he held his hand out as a portal appeared above it allowed a screaming skull to fall into his hand. He pulled his arm back as he tightly gripped the skull. His dull eyes scanning for a general target. After what seemed to be a dogs hour he finally biffed the skull towards the lump of snow. On impact it sent the snow blasting outward.

With an explosion of snow that sent him flying through the air a little - albeit unharmed - Shiva Reese was well aware of one thing...
The game was on. War had begun, and it was a game where prisoners would not be taken. With demonic speed it rolled snowballs, his little arms a blur as he formed and pelted them at the three mages that were in the snow. He has stepped up his game considerably, tossing what seemed like a wall of snowballs constantly at the trio - all the while giggling like a fool (which sounded a bit deranged, actually).
As if this were not enough, he would occasionally, briefly, pause his assault to bound around energetically, as if to evade anything they might send his way. Whatever the case, the snow still did not seem to be hindering his movement any, as he breezed across the surface of it, as though it was something as solid as land.

Shinzu would turn his head backwards slightly, the bare minimum amount required to be able to just about make out Sakura's face as she casted her assist magic. The resulting spell would cause a fuzzy sensation to envelope the teens body, somehow strengthening it. This feeling was short lived however, and would be replaced by pure anger surging through the mages veins as fiery hatred built up inside of him as his eyes met with the reddish mark on Sakura's face.
Although he wouldn't say anything, Shinzu's demeanor would entirely change, such being more than obvious from the vice-like grip on his sword which seemed to be causing his entire arm to involuntarily shake. Now walking forwards slowly, the teen would follow the skull launched by Haru with his eyes until it would eventually reach the mountain of snow before detonating on impact in a manner akin to a torpedo sending a hail of water into the sky.
"Shiva Reese." Shinzu muttered as his eyes met with a small blond haired child. Having 'accidentally' stumbled across the records of Shiva in the Government office, the teen knew full well what his foe looked like in this child-like state, though even more than that he knew what that so called demon was capable of if he was allowed to release his seals. "End it quickly." He muttered as a tsunami of snow fell from the heavens.
Blurring away from existence, Shinzu would appear directly behind Shiva before bringing his sword downwards, as if to cut the boy cleanly in half. Regardless of whether this failed or not, which it most certainly would have, the teen continued his onslaught by violently slashing through the air continuously. At times, he would even allow his blade to bury itself into the white ground so that as he swung it upwards it would launch the snow at the enemies eyes, a rather hopeful attempt at both blinding and distracting him from the swordplay.

Sakura looked at Shinzu's turned head as if to say, "Turn around and look at me, fool!" but she did not say anything. Instead, she wished him best of luck at fighting Shiva. She knew he was widely known for being extremely powerful, but she didn't know quite how powerful. Pondering this, she walked back to stand slightly behind Haru, tossing her hair back over her shoulders in the wind.
"I poked you to cast my assist magic. Your ranged spells will now deal more damage. Congrats." she said the last part sarcastically, letting herself fall backwards into the soft snow. Looking up, the sky was blinding even though no sun was showing; it reflected the light from above and below, so there was no escaping the blinding white light. Of course, by now, Sakura was used to this kind of thing, but time away from the mountain had lessened her immunity. Sighing, she sat back up and shielded her eyes a bit. In the distance, she could see that Shinzu had stumbled upon a blonde-haired kid. At the sight of him, Sakura's meter eye contacts started to go berserk, flashing gold all around the kid.
Shiva. Sakura thought to herself, quickly standing up and taking out her bow. The sleek, black wood seemed half rotted, but sturdy, reflecting off the light as if it were the color of snow. Drawing an arrow from her pack, she placed it on the edge of the string and prepared to release it. However, as soon as she thought she had an opening, Shinzu dashed at the boy and began slashing at him.
"Damn." Sakura cursed, relaxing her bow arm. "I can't get a clear shot without risking hitting Shinzu." she said to particularly no one, but what's-his-face cutie-pie was standing right next to her, so he would probably hear her. "Should have casted my armour spell on him. It won't hold up much, but it's still something..." she commented, angry with herself for forgetting. "Whatever, too late now."
Without waiting for him to reply, she transformed into a bird, flew up, and landed on the boy's shoulder. Good luck. Try to get at least a few hits in on the enemy. She told him telepathically, this time not sarcastic. After all, she didn't want him to think it was ok to hit on Shinzu.
I mean hit Shinzu...

Shiva giggled like a child playing with a ball as Shinzu lunged at him and began to swipe his sword. His limbs may have been a bit chubby, but he was surprisingly agile, even in such a lowly form. His laughter, jovial and a little shrill, echoed across the snow covered land, seeming to make the ground quake a little.
As he dodged and leaped about, magical energy began to leak subconsciously from his body, causing the snow around them to melt and the earth beneath their feet to rupture. Shiva's body began to glow, his limbs elongating as he overall aged several years, now he was not quite as chubby, but he was still very young, likely only in the four or five year age range.
He laughed a little, but it died down a bit as his blue eyes narrowed some, "this game..." he murmured, at the ground began to shake more violently - as if on cue, snow began to fall from the mountains, creating an avalanche of snow that swept downwards, towards the lot of them, though he expressed a child lack of fear of his own potential death in the slide, "is getting old," he concluded, glancing towards the rumbling snow that was sliding rapidly down the mountainside.
"Surfs up!" He announced, laughing a little manically as he did a sort of back flip to distance himself from Shinzu, whom had managed to cut a lock of his hair (much to his annoyance), in order to grab at a near by tree, and proceed to rip away a portion of the trunk, apparently intent on using it as a snowboard. Or maybe a shield from the sword. It was hard to say, really.

Shinzu's grip on his blade would tighten as he hacked away at the air, all his attacks seemingly missing Shiva and hitting nothing more than the snow below his feet. To make matters worse, the juvenile pest would begin giggling each and every time he would dodge the teens attacks, causing a vein of pure fury to begin throbbing on the side of his head. "Bastard!" He howled before sending his blade crashing downwards, the act of which causing a flurry of snow to explode outward rather violently as the enemy once again dodged the mages swordplay with little effort.
It was at this point that as Shinzu moved around he would notice that the 'crunch' of the snow had been replaced with a splash each time he moved his legs, causing him to shift his gaze downwards which would meet with a pool of water collecting below him. Growing wide eyed, the teens attempt to back off would end as the air suddenly began to vibrate, almost like the wing beat of millions of insects. This would then be followed by Shiva's body taking on a faint glow as he aged several years in a matter of moments. "I remember reading about this phenomenon... As he releases the seals on his body he grows larger and gains ungodly strength..."
Shinzu could then only hiss at Shiva's comment as he uprooted a tree with his bare hands. With little time to retaliate however, the teen simply faded away from existence with the add of a shadow step before appearing a slight distance below his foe. With a cruel gaze focused on Shiva, black shadows would explode out of the ground and elongate like serpents before wrapping themselves around the boy. Several other would also rupture out from the mixture of snow and water before spiraling around him, forming the shape of a large tower, which at that point would serve to block the torrent of snow heading towards the mage.
A quick glance downwards would then serve to reveal to Shinzu that Sakura was in bird form, leaving him sure that she was safe from the majority of the snow which had simply fell around the tower. Before Shiva could escape its confines, the teen would simply focus on it intently, causing the skeletal figures that made up the tower to begin cracking and breaking away in bits of orange light. This light would the envelope the entire tower before simply exploding outwards in a cataclysmic explosion which would span a radius of ten meters and leave behind a inferno that would persist for quite some time whilst melting down all the snow around it with heat that would evaporate the resulting liquid into nothingness.
Mana: 130/150 Spell Name: Tear the Heavens Asunder, Tower of Babel Level: Destructive Range: Long Description: One of the strongest and most destructive Arc of Embodiment spells. By spewing the users own magical energy into the ground, he can cause several immensely large tendrils made entirely out of the decayed bones of various creatures to burst out from the ground before twisting and turning, slowly grouping up together and merging to form a single demonic tower shaped structure which can reach up to 60 meters into the air with a base radius of 20 meters The user also has precise control over where the tendrils will group together, allowing him to entangle and trap foes inside the resulting creation. The tower itself is constantly pulsating, and has an eerie greenish glow to it that can leave behind third degree burns on anyone that ventures too close. In actual fact this glow is caused by the mass amounts of energy stored inside, which can all be unleashed simultaneously in a cataclysmic explosion spanning up to 50 meters. Unlike before where the explosion would simply dissipate after a few moments, now it will remain for up to a whole post as a massive ball of fire that will continue to incinerate anything unfortunate enough not to be able to escape its reach. If the user wishes he can also compress the explosion to decrease its range, which in turn will allow the ball of fiery explosions to persist for a extra post for every 20 meters sacrificed. Additional mana can be poured into the spell, with every extra two increasing the destructive power of the blast by one percent. Drawback: Costs 20 mana to bring everything needed to create the giant structure into existence. The user as well as allies can get caught in the explosion. Can only be used once a thread.

As the inferno faded a violent torrent of steam would quickly take its place, warping the view of the surroundings into nothing more than a sea of grey. Out of this abyss however would appear a hand that would clamp around Shinzu's neck, cutting off his flow of oxygen. "W-What!?" He tried to say, though nothing more than choking sounds would escape his lips as Shiva's body came into the view. Such would be the last the teen remembered as he awoke from his slumber weeks later, body riddled in injuries and with a immense throbbing pain echoing through his forehead.
