Not too sure if this is where this topic would go, since it pertains to the rp but sort of off topic as well. Thos who know me I had two character on the old site. The first one was a card mage, who I decided to uh…remove due to complaints. Old story. Then I converted him to a gun mage. Good choice but I spaced on ideas.
Well here I have my government character; my second character actually. Not really active, but doesn’t really know anyone he wants to interact with. Well he wants to kill Shinzu eventually (long in the future) and he hasn’t seen Miki in forever. Think she forgot about him. Sad.
But this topic isn’t about him. It’s about the first character that doesn’t seem to have any ties with anyone yet. When wanting to reintroduce him into this site I had several ideas. Some are old ideas and some are new ideas. I’m having trouble choosing an idea because there’s so many and each is one I would enjoy doing. Unfortunately I think I can handle only two characters. So I’m making this post to get some insight and ideas on which one I should go with. So without further ado the old first and then the new:
My original card mage with modifications. This character was made as an all purpose mage who could modify his spells to suit the situation. The biggest problem with my old card mage was people thinking I was casting too many spells in a post. I will most likely change the spells so that if they combine it would be the equivalent casting time as if I cast the spells as one.
The second idea is to bring back the gun mage. Like the card mage, the gun mage’s spells were designed to alter his bullets to have different effects. Unlike the card mage however his spells required more money and less mana. Just as diverse, but didn’t get a chance to really test him.
Now my ideas are more original but just as desirable. The third idea was to create an item mage. Essentially it was going to be similar to the gun mage style, but without needing the magic gun. Instead the user would use small magic artifacts that contained inert magical energy that the caster could use as a medium for his spells. Like the gun mage; the item mage would use more of these magic items (that he’d have to buy) to make more powerful spells, but would require less mana. And like the previous ideas his spells could be modified through the use of specialized alterations.
Fourth idea is a special kind of beast master. This magic user would start off with a special kind of monster that by itself has two special qualities. The first is the basis of the monster. It essentially is a round ball with small arms and feet. It essentially looks like Kirby with big innocent eyes and small mouth. The idea is that this particular monster is the basis upon all monsters were created. All monster evolution can be traced to this one creature, and this one race of creature made all monsters. After hearing the first ability I think you can guess the second. Yup, it can ‘swallow’ the user’s magic to change it’s shape/element/abilities. And after the user/monster gets strong enough it can ‘swallow’ other magic, but with definite limits.
And finally the fifth idea is one that’s been recycled from a previous rp site. This one is a unique elementalist, and all his skills would be used in learning a new affinity. Essentially this brand of elementalist has the unique ability to ‘hide’ his spells within their element. He would create an orb of said element (let’s go with air) and literally ‘push’ it into thin air where it would hid until the user calls it forth. Essentially his spells are orbs of elements that he can modify in the form of other spells. This is most likely the most complex one I could create in terms of creativity, since it would require the most explanation.
Those are my five ideas, and as you can see each one follows a certain theme. If you have any questions or ideas let me know here. I’m always open for critique, and would like help in deciding what character to make.
That said I was wondering if my primary character stats were saved. If not I don’t mind starting over with the character. Could I apply for the ‘Returning Character’ reward since this is supposed to be replacing the original character?
