Within the Griffin Wing guild hall, up the stairs just beyond the bartender and the counter where drinks are served, there is a large, sturdy oaken door that its always open as of late. The door itself is covered in a rather intricate, fresh carving, a mural done by the current guild master, depicting a griffin in it's prime, wings flared open, fierce and proud. It is a very detailed piece, textured with layers of carved feathers, making it seem as though it practically leaps off of the door. It is a nice piece of work, and the first touch that the new master has put on the guild.
The office has an open door policy, so it is scarcely closed off to the guild - unless the master is doing something of great importance.
It is a large room, with several bookshelves against one of the walls, all filled to the bursting point with books and scrolls, which also litter the master's desk alongside a magnifying device, suggesting that she is likely studying something, or searching old texts for something in particular.
There are several large windows in the room, with silky curtains that are generally pulled open. If they are closed, it likely means the master is having a nap.
A dulled pocket knife rests on the edge of the desk, the very knife used to carve the mural on the door, as well as the handful of little carved animals and figures that rest on the desk, weighing down the papers. There are many little trinkets resting neatly to one side of the desk, souvenirs from the master's travels and missions, her little 'treasures.'
At the center of the desk, there is a clearing, where there are no papers, possessions, writing utensils, or anything else. The master has a habit of nodding off here, when she is over worked.
Behind the desk is a comically large seat, which looks like it belongs in a throne room somewhere. It is heavy and sturdy, colored golden and purple, with intricately designed arms.
Beside this chair, the guild mascot, a now elderly griffin, is generally curled, resting his weary body. He raises his head whenever he hears someone coming, watching the door until they enter, before settling down once again.
The newest guild master, whom was recently tossed into the position, comes and goes, spending time in the main area of the guild, while also retiring to the office in order to work on this or that. She has an intense sense of loyalty to the guild, and will listen to any worries or concerns that any of the members might have, no matter how little or petty they may seem.
