Pulling his eyelids open slowly, Shinzu would gradually grow accustom to the sunlight radiating into his pupils, however never enough for him to be able to widen his gaze into anything more than a squint. With the sun almost directly in his line of sight however, he really had no one else to blame other than himself for being for too lazy to get off the dusty ground. In fact, at this point the most productive thing the teen had done so far was wave his arms and legs back and forth to create a 'snow' angel out of the lose bits of soil around him.
As if to further personify his boredom, a harsh groan would involuntarily escape from Shinzu's lips and linger in the ears of anyone close enough to hear, which for the most part probably either sounded like a dying animal or some sort of undead creature ready to rise from the grave. "Bored... Bored... Bored..." He chanted over and over again. Haru had sadly left several months ago to undergo a quest and Misa was apparently busy with guild master related duties, leaving the teen all alone with only himself for company.
Sadly, most of the guild was also busy celebrating valentine's day with their partners, while the remaining either feared or despised Shinzu far too much to be willing to entertain him throughout this dull day. In fact, the teens mopy attitude had become so annoying that Misa had quite literally kicked him out of the guild for the day, which was the reasoning behind him sulking around outside. "Damned woman... If it was not for that promise I made, I would just annihilate the miserable guild and her along with it."

With everyone in the guild being gone off somewhere, Fisher was told it was for some kind of romantic holiday, there was very little to do around the guild he had joined just a little while ago. He had been told it would be a place to meet a lot of people to do missions with, but since he had shown up, there hadn't been a lot of people around to ask about it. Maybe they didn't like him? His introduction had been pretty normal, giving his name, where he was born, and telling them all about Jasmine and Julia. They seemed to have been pushed away at that moment, with no questions about him, everyone had gone on with their business leaving him to his own. If he didn't get a team soon, he might just leave the guild already, but was there even anyone around here that he'd be able to enjoy himself with?
As he debated this, he stumbled upon a man waving his arms and legs around on the ground, mumbling something about women and miserable. He recognized him from the guild, but neither one had really talked much, even though they seemed to be ignored near the same amount. With a shrug, he decided to make the first move, walking up slowly to the man with his arms folded behind his back and a friendly smile on his face. Or the best attempt he could make at a friendly smile. Not sure what to say exactly, Fisher ended up just standing there with an awkward smile on his face, watching him lay on the ground.

Valentine's Day.... Reika thought, walking straight ahead. She put one foot directly in front of the other, so that the heel matched up with the toe of her other foot. Her eyes were downcast, focusing on making each step as precise as possible. She was working on her balance, which was apparently very poor when she wasn't focused. The was proven when she horribly failed at protecting her guild when she was on vacation... not that it mattered, anyways. There had been no one in her guild except for one other person... who had gone missing. It was hardly a guild.
Valentine's day is one of my days off. The girl with white hair stated again, reminding herself that this was one of the very few days in the year that she actually abstained from killing people. Good thing my birthday is four days from now... that's the start of my killing spree week. she laughed out loud at this thought, slightly impatient for that week to start. She absolutely adored killing people. Good things come to those who wait, though~!
[/i] Around the same time as Fisher walked up to Shinzu, Reika appeared on the other side, similarly smiling at the two. However, hers was not nearly as awkward. "Well, well. Shinzu, I'm quite surprised. I thought you would be with my sister." she smirked, and then turned to face Fisher. "As for you, why are you standing like that? Honestly, I don't even know why you're in this guild. You're too cheery. Too nice." She stated her opinion, kicking the ground with the tip of her shoe and getting particles of sand in the blue-haired mage's face. [/blockquote] TAGS:[/b] Shinzu & Fisher NOTES:[/b] N/A WORDS:[/b] 278

Like a sudden eclipse, the sun would be blotted out from the sky by a giant human shaped figure leaning over in front of Shinzu. Glancing at the mans features carefully, all the teen would be able to pick out would be black hair and a rather awkward grin skewered across his face. "King... Tuna?" Though Shinzu had never personally met this man before, 'borrowing' the guilds files on numerous occasions in the past meant that he had worked up a rather hefty knowledge about the members making up the guild, especially when considering that there were no real books around the building to help satisfy ones hunger for knowledge.
"Or was it King Carp...?" Having only been able to recall that the black haired mans last name was related to fishing, Shinzu simply brushed off the awkward social interaction by shifting his attention to the more familiar figure towards his right. "Your sister... Perhaps we should not talk about her?" Clearly, the teen wanted to change the subject as swiftly as possible upon the mere mention of Sakura. Before the topic of discussion could even be decided upon however, the mage would find himself pelted with dirt as Reika rather harshly kicked a flurry up with the tip of her shoes.
Despite having blocked most of it with his arm, Shinzu couldn't help but rub his eyelids as the sensation of the soil hitting him instinctively gave off the illusion that a bit had somehow made its way into his eyes. This would then be followed by a harsh serious of coughing noises, though at this point it was clear that the teen was merely exaggerating to make the white haired woman feel guilty about her actions. "When did you last clean those shoes? They make even the dirt taste horrible..."

There...seemed to be a lot of confusion on his name right now, and Fisher's irritability at the situation was quite obvious as his hand began to move down to Jasmine. He was quite certain that this man might die today, had he not controlled his anger this one time and folded his hands in front of him instead. "Fisher....sir... My name is John King Fisher. I would appreciate it if you would remember that for next time, lest I draw on you and cause us both some problems." He would of gone on more, and perhaps exacerbated the situation, had the little white haired one not shown up among the two men before they could get further into the matter of names. She gave off a strange sensation for Fisher, making him a bit unsure about staying around to get to know more people.
At the very least, she had spoken the blue haired one's name which was quite helpful in social situations like this. He watched the two interact, confused as to whether they were friends, enemies, or siblings which he had heard didn't get along very well. Fisher took in the girls words for a minute, wondering if it had been the right decision to join a guild and try to get along with people. A temporary lapse in judgement perhaps? "If you wish for me to show my dark side, I would have no problem killing anyone that you point out, but I assumed people in guilds frowned upon that. I'm just here to find allies for the harder missions, you see." He scratched the back of his head while looking at the girl, still feeling a strange sensation coming from the white one.

Reika simply rolled her eyes as Shinzu exaggeratedly hacked up the imaginary pieces of dust. "My sister? Why, of course we can talk about her! I commemorate your want to be with her on this fine lover's day." She scoffed, walking around until she stood next to Fisher so the sun wasn't in her eyes. It was bad enough, having long hair to bake her neck and back. She didn't have to be blinded too. "I may like killing people, but I have duties to family. Since it is today, I will ignore those responsibilities." A cold wind brushed Reika's hair back, cooling her back and making her sigh in relief.
After Shinzu made guesses on the man's name, Reika kicked more dirt on his face just for the amusement of it... and because he pissed her off. She would never admit that, however. "Hah, you're funny. You think you can actually kill this idiot. He may be as dumb as a rock, but he's no fool when it comes to fighting." she smirked, both insulting and praising the blue-haired mage, lest he get too full of himself. "And you're here to find people to do missions with? OMG, I am too! We have so much in common." She said, mocking the voice of a teenager. She laughed sickly after that, showing clear signs of something being not quite right in her mind. However, she abruptly stopped laughing and looked Fisher in the eye. "I'd like to take you up on your offer of killing someone. Let's go on a mission sometime. I'm sure it will be fun."

A slight smile would begin to form on Shinzu's lips as the man's hand edged closer towards his gun, however the grin would quickly fade as the marksman ceased with the declaration of war and instead just calmly folded his hands. "How boring, Mr Goldfish." Although Fisher had just revealed his true name, at this point the teen simply couldn't resist the idea of mocking his fellow guild member. Especially seeing how John had just revealed how much of a annoyance it is when people spin a fish related pun along with his name.
"Well at the very least, you were intelligent enough to call me Sir. Anything less and-" Having been caught rather off guard because he was too busy threatening John, Shinzu would find himself retreating from Reika by rolling along the ground as she kicked up dirt directly into his eyes. After rubbing them for a few moments, the teen would then push himself off the dusty floor and land on his own two feet, the act of which causing him to stagger slightly as his muscles adjusted from having accomplished absolutely nothing all day.
"My my, what a cruel individual you are. How on earth are you two siblings anyway?" It certainly was odd. Even if Reika dyed her hair to look more like her sister, her personality and even mannerisms were vastly different. It would take someone pretty dense to confuse the two, even if they lacked the gift of eyesight. "I miss solitude..." Shinzu's voice was now rather pitiful. To complete the scene, he would even slouch over slightly to give himself the appearance of a injured puppy. Clearly, he was not enjoying the company.
Things would get even weirder as Reika suddenly began talking like a hyperactive schoolgirl, the act of which causing Shinzu to squint his eyes in pain. Rather swiftly, the teen would then hold out his hand and point his index finger at the white haired girl as John offered to prove himself by murdering someone. "Her." He stated rather bluntly before the topic shifted to missions. With a dark grin, the mage reached into his pocket and pulled out some pieces of paper he had torn directly from the mission board. "How about a A rank miss- Ah never-mind, you are both probably too cowardly to come along with me anyway."

Fisher, having no idea about Reika's sister zoned out for those parts, letting his foot tap impatiently as they discussed the person. However, the word killing got his attention pretty fast as the girl mentioned something about a family duty stopping her from performing such a thing at this time. A real shame. Fisher enjoyed seeing the work of others as a way to better his own methods, and something told him that this girl had some spine tingling methods of her own to share. Ahh, but alas, it seemed he would have to wait awhile for that glorious scene of blood shed and bone breaking. He tried his best to ignore the fool while he thought of some ways to entertain himself today, but mistaking his name again put him a little more on edge.
"Could such a fool really even be a mage?" Fisher frowned a bit watching the man take yet another blast of sand in his face before getting to his feet. Surely if he couldn't even avoid that, he should of been killed alread, but Fisher just couldn't picture the man having any kind of power when it came to combat. He did however like the idea of doing a mission today, as he had quite a lot of steam to blow off after meeting these 2 people. A sarcastic sadist who's taunts were sure to get on his nerves, and a foolish mage that was supposedly strong and would most likely annoy him even more.
"Icould go for a mission anytime. As long as it's not something like exploring an ancient temple, because I've had just about enough of that dull work." Fisher waited for details on the mission as he leaned against the wall, debating whether it was really a good idea. Although a mission with just Reika would be preferable for later. He certainly wasn't going to take the fools request to try and kill her.

Reika laughed to herself as she successfully kicked dirt into Shinzu's eyes... again. Hah! So stupid. He should have gotten off the ground the first time I messed with him. she thought, reaching her arms behind her head and grabbing her hair. She tossed it over her right shoulder, letting her back cool down a little bit after being shielded from the sun for so long. The cold winter's air hit her back, quickly cooling her off and actually chilling her skin. She quickly put her hair back in it's regular place, shielding her back but keeping it a comfortable temperature.
"Yes, unfortunately he is a mage... a traitor, but a mage nonetheless." She grinned, referring to the fact that he left Shark Fang. Not that it mattered anyways; the guild was destroyed. "You're welcome to join us on the mission, Shinzu, so long as it's clear that we will not be under your command. You may be the strongest in the guild, but your leadership skills are less than none." She then turned to Fisher, looking him straight in the eye. "As for you, we are not going on a stupid castle mission. That, I agree with you on." The white-haired girl paused for a moment, looking back and forth between the two male mages. "So, it's a deal then. Mission it is."

"Traitor?" Shinzu questioned Reika's words, his face growing solemn almost as if he was about to part with the knowledge of a thousand sages. "Incorrect, I simply joined Shark Fang to keeps tabs on Shiva. Once he left, I had no further reason to say." Though of course, instead of a wise speech, the only thing that would escape the teens lips would be another one of his usual sarcastic comments. "Besides, once it became clear that you of all people had been appointed the successor, everyone quite simply lost interest in the guild. That is why it was disbanded, is it not?"
A cruel chuckle would escape Shinzu's lips as he loosened the grip on the papers, causing a large chunk of them to escape into the wind. "No castles? No temples? No problem." Three posters would now remain clenched in the teens hand, each one clearly having become yellow after standing against the god of time. "Not one person in the guild has been able to complete one of these in centuries, let alone return alive." Each poster seemed to have 'target' etched across the top portion in block capitals, however a closer inspection would reveal that it was not mage's the trio would be hunting, let alone even humans.
"Ashura, a fallen diety of a thousand arms, the Hydra, a pitch-black demon of a thousand heads, or the Chimera, a violent creature of a thousand forms. Pick your poison." Quite obviously regardless of which mission the other two mage's wished to accept, the journey would be a arduous and ruthless one, leaving them only able to choose between one of them. As if to press the others for time, Shinzu would then hold out the missions posters, this being his way of telling the two mage's to go ahead and pick one.

Something told Fisher that there was a lot of history between these two that he shouldn't get involved too deeply in, but the thought of a good mission with both of them got him feeling a lot better. Not a castle cleaning or some lame light guild job like that. They were here for the real deal, and that meant he would, for once, really get to test out his magic skills. He turned his attention to Shinzu as the papers scattered about. These missions sounded more and more like something Fisher wouldn't take on alone anyways, and none of them were going to be a simple in and out job. A fallen deity, a hydra, and a terrible beast. "I always do prefer that my targets have a more human feel to them. Putting down a beast is just not as fulfilling to me." Ashura wouldn't be nearly as difficult with Shinzu there he suspected, but a good test of how well the three worked together would be very nice before he decided to get too close to either one. "When do we head out, Miss Reika?" Fisher nodded his head at the girl, letting her know he was ready whenever she was and disregarding whether Shinzu had anything to say on the matter.

"No one in centuries? But this guild is fairly new, I remember." Reika giggled, promptly grabbing the piece of paper from Shinzu and shoving it in her bag. "No matter, sounds good to me. But I swear to you, if you use us as meatshields, there will be dire consequences." she warned, straightening her dress up. "Alright, we leave tomorrow. Today is valentines day, after all, and I can't get my hands dirty~" she joked, starting to walk away. Just before she left, she turned and looked straight at Shinzu. "Oh, and do something for my poor sister. She's practically heartbroken that she didn't get to see you today." she held up her cellphone in explanation, and then left the area.

Folding his arms tightly, he would allow his lungs to fill with the humid air before expelling it all in the form of a harsh sigh. "Very well. We shall depart tomorrow at first light by ship." With nothing more to say, the teen would turn his back on the duo, though not before answering to Reika. "Sakura and I are none of your concern, I shall deal with her after the mission."-------- Daybreak would be signaled through the first few specs of light in the horizon. Although the clouds were still dark, a few patches of purple and even orange were beginning to make a appearance as the sun slowly made its way into view. "Late." Shinzu mumbled to himself, still without the company of Reika and Fisher despite this now being the promised meeting time. "Even he failed to show up as well..." 'He' referring to a surprise guest that would be joining the others in this mission. Behind Shinzu stood several ships, each one being of all manner of shapes and colors. A careful observer however might notice that the teen was standing directly in front of one in particular, which although was the largest, was also at the same time the oldest and by far the most dingy looking. No real effort seemed to have been made to hide the busted rails circling the ship or even the bits of shipped paint and rusted sides. Clearly, a fun trip awaited the others. |

"It's been a few years, Shinzu." A deep, mature voice sounded from behind Shinzu. Battler approached slowly, taking his time walking from the distance. He was wearing his armor, or more like cloth armor, which was designed by Battler and looked like a suit with a dark theme to it, using black and dark purple as the primary colors. He hadn't met Shinzu in a long time, even before his three years of imprisonment in the demon realm. They weren't exactly on good terms but apparently from what he could gather, Shinzu and Sakura were rather close in some odd way. Not one to turn down a mission off, Battler decided to tag along. He needed the Jewels to help pay for some of his maintenance. He could always use his personal fortune from his family, but that was reserved for paying living expenses and essentials, as well as emergencies and for others if needed, not personal things which includes magic.
"Well, for you it may have been a matter of months. You would have fit in well in the Demon Realm I was sent to." Standing a few meters away from Shinzu, Battler looked him over. He wasn't wearing his mask this time but from the picture he had received of him through the message, he knew this was the guy he was looking for. Shinzu, for some odd reason, had invited Battler on a group mission and sent a picture of himself so that he knew who to look for. Even after spending three years of effort training and stuff, all he could really bring back was his knowledge. He was still inexperienced in this world as if only his physical body had changed. Dimension traveling sure was a pain. He probably would have retained all of his training had the user of the dimension magic been an ally. Looking at Shinzu, he knew the gap between them instantly. He really needed to get training again in this world. "So who are we waiting on?"

An early morning meeting was not Fisher's cup of tea, but he wasn't in charge of this mission, and had no real say as to when they would all meet up. Fisher closed his jacket up to fight against the cold that seemed to accompany docks like the one Shinzu had requested they meet at. With a heavy sigh as he looked at the rising sun on the horizon, Fisher was about to walk up to Shinzu until he saw another man going up there as well. He hadn't heard anything about another person coming along for the mission other than the Kitsune members, and he hadn't seen the new person around the guild before. The notion that Shinzu might have trouble crossed his mind as Fisher gave a frustrated click of his tongue, hand resting on the handle of his gun, Jasmine, before going up.
"Who's the outsider here?" Fisher moved up next to Shinzu, not taking his eyes off the other man as he moved, his hand twitching slightly. He would of drawn his gun if Shinzu hadn't been so at ease with the man being there, but he at least kept up his skepticism when it came to people from another guild. Especially when he didn't know what guild the man came from. For all Fisher knew it could be from one of those hard ass Light Guilds and might get in the way of fun.
