A cool breeze rocked the early morning sky above the watery docs. Reika was there rather early, before daybreak even, and most extremely tired. She figured that since she was a heavy sleeper, she would be able to sleep on the way over to the mission, with Fisher to guard her from Shinzu, who would probably try to murder her in her sleep. In fact, this whole mission, it appeared to Reika, was probably to assassinate both her and Fisher. Shinzu's motives? Who knew, he was a little crooked in the head.
Looking around, Reika spotted several boats in the port as well as men milling about, loading up the ships and doing various shipmen-like things. She walked around until she caught the attention of one of them, to which she politely asked which one was going to her destination, what time, and when. Once she found out the one most likely to be the one the trio would take, she promptly slaughtered the man and went aboard, curling up under some netting and falling asleep.

Fisher was weak so he'd probably just wind up getting in his way if nothing else. Yoichi sighed softly as he laid down in his bed after getting up to lock the door, Not wanting to be disturbed he also had a sign on the front saying "Do not disturb". He didn't have time to fuck around with Shinzu and his guild, He had one thing he needed to do and one thing only, He didn't care if he was being tricky by not telling anyone at Griffin Wing, He didn't care if Durriken scolded him for it, Yoichi was doing this whether he said not too or not.

"Years? Have you grown senile over these last few months, Red?" Shinzu's eyes would collapse into a glare as the red haired man walked in. Naturally he had already forgotten the mans name, hence that being the reasoning behind the nickname 'Red'. "Demon Realm? Sounds like a wonderful place." The teen smirked at Red, clearly curious about what had brought this change about him. Not only did he appear slightly older, but it almost appeared as if the wisdom and experience of countless battles had been burned into his eyes.
Before Shinzu could question this and the meaning behind the 'Demon Realm' however, Fisher would at last stage a appearance. "Who is this man you ask?" He said before pointing to Battler in response to the question. "This man will be aiding us." The teen would not reveal much else about the red haired man, not that there was much else he could remember anyway. At the very least though, it was nice to see Fisher so ready to go trigger happy. "No need to blow Red's brains out just yet Fisher, we can't risk losing our valuable meatshields so early on during the day."
"Now then.." Shinzu sighed softly as he looked behind, his gaze meanwhile slowly shifting downwards at the water which seemed to have become rather murky in one location in particular. If anyone bothered to look at the blotch of dark red water, they would even be able to see the faint outline of a figure just floating below the waters edge. "Since the captain was so brutally murdered by a certain white haired girl who I assume is already on the ship, I suppose I shall take over the role of piloting the vessel. Everyone get on-board, and do not annoy me or I shall ensure this trip ends with us crashing into a iceberg."
After his speech Shinzu would take the initiative by boarding the ship, which would promptly lead to his gaze meeting with Reika sleeping peacefully among some of the ships netting. "Cute. It appears you and your sister are only alike when napping." He muttered to himself before heading into the ship. Along the way, the teen would pass by the living quarters, which consisted of small rooms with nothing more than the bare minimum needed for a comfortable nights sleep. Sadly though, there were not enough rooms for everyone, which meant that everyone aside from one person would be forced to partner up with a room mate.
"Oh? Did someone enter the ship while I was asleep?" Shinzu would walk up to one of the cabins which seemed to have a sign plastered across it. "I wonder who this is?" He grinned to himself before pulling out a marker from his pocket and changing the sign to 'Please Disturb, I am lonely.' With his antics over with, the teen would head up some stairs and walk through a doorway into the captains room, which seemed to consist of a wide glass window and a multitude of machines with all manner of buttons and flickering lights. After studying them for a moment, he would give himself a nod before punching the control panels wildly, the act of which causing the ship to begin vibrating wildly.
Eventually, this combination of random button mashing would cause puffs of smoke to begin erupting from the top of the ship. Whether this was good or not, Shinzu had no clue. However regardless of what he had just done, the ship was now moving. With a quick spin of the wheel, the ship would slowly turn into the open sea, marking the start of this so called adventure. It was just rather unfortunate however that the teen had forgotten to retract the bridge that the others had used to climb onto the ship before setting sail. Oh well, it only slightly damaged the concrete of the docks and sunk one of the smaller ships before breaking off. It's not as if it was a integral part of the ship anyway.

"Shinzu, next time explain things to everyone about what is happening next time. Sending a picture of yourself with you name and telling me to show up for a mission is in rather poor taste. Not to mention you haven't informed others on who I am. Though seeing as how long it took you to remember about Sakura, I'm not very surprised." With that, Battler simply nodded at Fisher before following Shinzu onto the boat. Seeing the white haired girl who looked similar to the old Sakura, Battler couldn't help but stifle a laugh, covering his mouth with his closed fist. Shinzu was right. They were the same in their sleep. But Battler himself knew nothing of this girl except that she looks exactly like the old Sakura. He doubted this one wanted to be adopted as well. Realistically, he was old enough to properly adopt someone now. Maybe he should do that with Sakura when he gets back. That is, if he ever goes back.
As the boat began to move, Battler walked onto the outer deck where he could get a reasonably good view of the sky. Once outside, he held his right hand out in front of him as he spoke. "Ame-No-Uzume." With that one name, a portal opened in front of him as the demon named Ame-No-Uzume appeared and stood upon the moving boat. After conversing with Battler for a moment, she sat down and leaned against a wall on the boat, facing front out towards the open sea and bright sky. Although it didn't show on her face, she was quite interested in this world. "I'm gonna rest. Wake me up if something happens. I don't particularly trust anyone on this boat, so watch yourself. I trust you more than anyone else." Having said that, Battler laid down on his side with his back against the wall, one hand used as a pillow and the other across his torso. The swords on his back weren't in the way as they were now. Ame-No-Uzume watched Battler's face for a moment before getting up and moving to the railing, looking out over the sea.

A disappointed look on his face, Fisher gave his gun a twirl before slipping it back into his holster and gave a frustrated tick of his tongue as the man was revealed to be an ally. Although with the little meat shield comment from Shinzu, he wasn't sure just how close the two men were. Forever labeling the man as Red in his head, Fisher gave a nod of agreement to Red's mention of being prepared when it came to new people coming on board. He still couldn't quite wrap his head around Shinzu being a powerful mage while not thinking of these things. Maybe he just didn't care really, the guildmate did seem to be a lazy man.
Taking note of the dead man floating in the water, Fisher gave a little chuckle at the girls handy work. She really did have a good handle on how to kill a man, Fisher liked that, definitely someone he looked forward to working with soon. Although the idea of Shinzu taking control of the boat made him feel a little sick, he followed the men onto the boat anyways, satisfied that the whole team had assembled finally. He debated picking a room for himself, but the worry of Shinzu crashing the ship forced him to follow the man into the captains area. It was just as bad as he had expected it to be in there.
Fisher tried his hardest to hold his ground as the ship threatened to shake him off his feet, the whole place seeming to regret letting the man take control. "If you didn't know how to even start the damn thing, why did you even volunteer to drive!?" He was going to die before even getting to the mission, he was sure of it. This boat was going to explode soon. Dammit Shinzu.

The bright sun shone down on the white-dressed girl, probably blinding to anyone who looked at her like a new sun on snow. The light reflected off of her white skin, hair, and dress, only eased a little by her blue and black lacing. Her overhanging bangs covered her face from the sun, letting the warmth seep into her eyes but not letting the light itself disturb her sleep, her long hair draped to the side to let the gentle breeze cool her off. It was peaceful there, on the boat- deaf to the world.
The ship suddenly lurched forward, sending Reika twirling off the netting onto the cold, hard deck of the ship. Her head hit the deck fairly hard, a loud thump apparent to everyone on the ship. Still, the white-haired girl did not wake up from her slumber until the first water droplet hit her face. Her eyes jolted open in panic, instantly jumping to her feet and barrel rolling away from the netting as a spray of water came up from the water below. She hissed in her crouched position, quickly retreating into the nearest cabin and locking the door shut.

Lights began flickering in front of Shinzu's eyes in harmony. Clearly there was some sort of deeper meaning behind this sequence of flashing, however what exactly was still unknown. Regardless, the teens deep focus on piloting the vessel would quickly end as a voice emanated from behind. "Goldfish?" He asked as the gunslingers figure came into view. "I am piloting purely because no one else offered to. Well, perhaps also because it looked entertaining."
After a few moments, Shinzu would turn his gaze back at front to be greeted by a endless ocean of blue. "At last, we are out at sea." He said with a smirk before leaving the command room. Miraculously, the shaking had settled down into nothing more than slight vibrations from the roar of the engine, signaling that everything for the most part was going well. "Take over and keep the ship steady, I have people to annoy."
After leaving the ship at the mercy of Fisher's command, Shinzu would descend down the stairs before noticing a whitish blur retreat into the safety of one of the cabins. With curiosity consuming him, the teen would slowly walk over before grabbing the rusted handle of the door and giving it a harsh tug in order to cause the large mass of metal to creak open. "Wakey wakey Reika." He sang rather mockingly.
Inside the cabin would be a large bed with a rusted metal frame. If Reika attempted to sit, let alone sleep on the thing then she would immediately find herself greeted by the clamor of hundreds of stiff springs creaking in unison. "I certainly hope that you did not come here to rest, especially after already spending most of the trip asleep." Shinzu's lips would curl into a smug grin before he leaned against the wall opposite to Reika.
The air for the most part was heavy and stale. Silence also seemed to be non-existent in this room as the hum of the engines coupled together with droplets of water leaking from the ceiling and striking against anything metallic drowned out the silence. With how chatty Shinzu was feeling however, it would be very difficult to pick up on the background sounds anyway. "So tell me oh great leader of Shark Fang, what brought you to Kitsune Lament? Or should I call you, Ex-leader?"
As the verbal abuse ended, Shinzu would notice a slight red tinted bump beginning to form on Reika's head, the sight of which causing the expression on his face to shift towards something more solemn. Walking over towards the tap mounted on the wall near him, the teen would grab a damp and mold incrusted towel before giving it a quick shake to rid it of most of the mulch that was clinging onto the fabric. With the towel looking a lot cleaner than it did a few moments ago, the mage would run it under some cold water before walking over towards the white haired girl and slapping it firmly onto her forehead. "It may not be ice, however the ships water is cold enough to keep most forms of minor swelling at bay."

Reika opened one eye as Shinzu walked into her room. She was learning against the far wall, right next to a small window where light was streaming into the room, creating a patch of white in the sea of black. Around her, the room could be barely made out in the darkness, a bed and stuff barely visible to the naked eye. Of course this was no defeat for Reika. Having cat eyes, she could see just fine in the darkness.
"What do you want?" She asked with a sharp tone of her voice. "Well, considering we only just set off, I don't think I've slept that long at all." she said, annoyance clearly apparent in her voice. She eyed him with her cold ice-blue eyes, clenching her fists at her sides as he made the snotty remark about her leadership. "Oh, piss off you son of a bitch!" she glared, sending mental daggers through Shinzu's eyes.
She moved as he moved, circling he room to the other side as he went over to the sink. Before he got the chance to put it on her, however, she escaped out the door. "I hate you! I will kill you someday! Remember that!" she shouted back at him angrily, walking over next to Battler and sitting down next to him. She knew from her sister that he would cause her no harm, neither mental nor physical. There, she waited until the ship got to the island where they were headed. Damn that Shinzu. Damn that Shinzu. Damn that Shinzu... she chanted repeatedly in her head.

N O COLORS ANYMORE * I WANT THEM TO TURN BLACK ❚ WORDS --- ❚ TAGS someone ❚ NOTES So like, fast forwarding this since no one wants to RP or interact lol. "Something I said?" Muttered Shinzu as Reika stormed off in a fit of furry. Almost as if he was frozen in time, the teen simply stood there with the wet towel in his right hand, which he was now wondering what to do with. With its purpose now rendered useless, it was simply abandoned by being flung into the sink, which it would land in with a soggy 'sploosh' as it splattered the remnants of water that had collected in the sink due to the poor drainage system. ....
"I suppose I should find her..."
.... Such were the last words Shinzu remembered uttering as he awoke from his slumber with a harsh sound ringing in his ears. The sound was like drumbeats, a painful clamor ringing through his eardrums. This sound would only increase in speed as the silence between beats shortened until it would become nothing more than the constant ringing of some sort of alarm system. Warning, warning, the speakers chanted. "I know we are in danger, the ship is upside down." Replied the teen as the voice from the speakers carried on regardless. As he forced himself up, Shinzu's legs would immediately crumple under his bodies weight and send him crashing right back into the floor with a metallic 'clang'. "What the hell..." He questioned as his body roared in agony. A closer inspection of the surroundings revealed that things were very wrong indeed. The sink and doorway that lead to the hallway outside appeared to be above him, and anything that was not previously nailed down seemed to be scattered all around him, including the bed which was now a mess of coils and springs. Crawling to the nearest wall, Shinzu would pull out his blade before stabbing it into the thick metal, causing it to screech violently as the weapon dug deep into its core before cutting out the outline of a new door. After forcing himself up and kicking the 'door' out of its frame, the teen would immediately be greeted by a blast of warm air, a harsh contrast to the damp and cool interior of the ship. As if to complete the scene, the hot wind would even blow some sand into the mages face as if to say he had arrived in his destination. "Wait...Sand?" He questioned before limping outside. As soon as his feet hit the soft ground, Shinzu was able to indeed confirm that he had arrived in Tear Desert, however what struck him with true disbelief was the sight behind him as he turned his head to cast a gaze on the ship which was upside down and embedded about halfway into the sand, almost like something had thrown the ship there like a javelin. |

Battler was stirred awake when he felt his body thrown against the roof. Or rather, what was now the floor. He was probably thrown against the wall first. Underneath him was Ame-No-Uzume who had managed to soften the impact much better than someone who was asleep. Also of note was that Reika who had supposedly been next to him when it happened was now in his arms. Back in the demon world, he did pick up a habit of grabbing something he needed or someone to protect when still asleep right before waking up. Sneak attacks were hard to deal with after all. He must have grabbed her unconsciously when thrown about. Letting go, Battler stood up and thanked Ame-No-Uzume as she began floating off to look for a way out. They were by the side but from looking out the window, all he could see was darkness. Pulling out his Bloodbane sword, he cut through the wall with reasonable ease thanks to its unique properties and got out with Ame-No-Uzume following.
Sighing as he looked at Shinzu, Battler couldn't help but feel depressed. "I would've been happy if I saw a girl standing waiting. But to see your face in this bright light after such a tumble makes me want to die." Saying that without reservation, Battler's post-sleep personality showed itself. Most of the time he didn't care what he said, especially around those he doesn't know or doesn't like. If he was around someone he knew and liked, he would pay more attention. Slouching, he gave a yawn as he looked about at the sand and then back at the boat. Well, shipwreck is more like it now.

"It's not Go-" Fisher's attempt at correcting Shinzu, once again in relation to his name, was cut off as he continued to talk, saying that no one else had offered to drive and it looked entertaining. "That's no reason to risk getting us su-" Fisher was almost certain that he would never be able to finish a sentence while having a conversation with Shinzu. As it was, he listened to the man anyways, hoping he wouldn't make a fool of himself piloting this vessel even worse than Shinzu had when he attempted. Even though he had even less experience when it came to such things, since he had never controlled any kind of vehicle himself. It shouldn't be too hard to simply stay the course and find a safe place to land the ship... right?
Trying his best to keep the ship steady, Fisher eventually grew bored of the task, as it really did end up being a simple matter that anyone could handle. His mind began to wander, one hand on the wheel, the other twirling his magic gun, Jasmine, on his finger while starring off at the open waters. Boring, just an endless area of water with nothing in sight except the shadows of fish and their kind swimming deep below the surface. If Fisher had his way, he would of found a nice bed to lay in before they got to the island so that he could rest up, not wanting to be caught off guard in such a dangerous mission. Shinzu's pace was a bit hard to keep up with however, and it was probably best to just go with the flow until he could find a way out of the mans company.
Even with his attention drawn away, it was hard to miss the shadow that swept by the window of the ship, at first Fisher wrote it off as a bird until the thing swept by again. His attention fully gained, the man kept one hand on the wheel while aiming out the window with Jasmine, watching for the shape again. It never came by, but Fisher had a strange feeling that the water was getting lower and lower, flowing away from their ship. Confident that there was no safe way out of this predicament, Fisher made the decision to make his possible last moments alive as enjoyable as possible. Removing a cigarette from his pocket, lighting it with a match from a nice little restaurant he visited, the gunman took one long drag as the ship made a quick trip through the air, a large expanse of sand fast approaching the front. He cursed the man one more time before blacking out. "God damn Shinzu..."
Awaking on the beach a little after the others, Fisher winced as he opened his left eye, a gash above it from the trip out the front of the boat before he could be buried under it. He managed to stumble to his feet and over to where Shinzu was now with the Red man and Reika, giving his neck a small crack and holding his side. "Rough landing, but believe me, not my fault...my last cigarette too." He mourned the loss of his habit for a bit while he awaited some kind of direction as to what the small group was supposed to do now. He was glad that he had at least managed to keep a tight grip on Jasmine before going head over heels out the front. He'd might of lost his mind without her.

Well that's great... the ship tumbled over... onto sand... and I didn't wake up the whole time. Reika thought, trying to get a bearing on the world around her. She could see the grainy, yellow stuff all around her and in her hair, as well as the sideways ship. Something moved underneath her- Reika could tell it was alive from the strong breaths it was taking. Quickly standing up, Reika looked down on the figure, who was none other than Battler. He, too was on top of his celestial spirit, though it had seemed as if Battler had grabbed Reika instead of her.
"Thanks..." her voice was merely more than a whisper, hoping that no one was around to hear her thank the older man. However, Shinzu happened to be standing right next to her, causing her to rear back and hiss, bearing her teeth. "It was merely a slip of the tongue! I am in no way grateful to this idiot!" she almost yelled without being asked, and stormed off to meet up with Fisher.

To deal with other people was something that Sora was alright with, but not in the situation like this. As he had heard, citizens and ship men had seen Shinzu waiting at the docks. This meant that Sora had been sent to hunt down one of his fellow guild members. When he told the port authority he would see what he could do, he did not really think that he would actually do anything to capture anyone. To him, this was an opportunity to meet the strongest member of the guild.
As of now though, that was no longer his thought. Only two things ran through the Dragon Slayer's mind as he was currently crashing through the waves inside a boat. One, where was his partner, and secondly, why did he have to be on a boat.
The misty spray of salt water was slapping Sora in the face constantly as he was leaning over the side of the ship. He was feeling nauseous. Nothing could make him feel worse than being on any kind of transportation. This was truly his weakest moment.
"Are we there yet?" He bellowed back up to the single pilot of the boat. There was not much he could on the trip besides try not to puke his brains out. "Why do I have to get motion sick..." he grumbled while again throwing his head over the side.
No matter how useless he becomes from the side effects of his Dragon Slayer magic, there are some effects that are worthwhile. The only reason he had been able to track down the other boat this far was because of his sense of smell. Of course the salty smell got in the way and inhibited it, but when the person who he got the smell off had been in the water for a while, then he could tell what he needed.
The body he had smelled was that of a dead ship captain, who or what killed him, Sora did not care to know. Once he had the scent, he stepped onto the boat which was supposed to take him where he needed to go to hunt down the band of wizards. Now he was regretting having gotten himself caught up in this whole mess.
When the boat stopped, Sora immediately jumped to his feet in a sense of new vigor, as though he had just been revived. However, with a single wave crashing into the side of the boat, he through his head over the wooden side again. "Why does this have to happen..."
"Aye, lad, this is as far as I can take ye. If ye wish to continue further you can do so with by shuttle," the ship Captain announced, shouting in a very seaman manner.
Since Sora was unable to move, he kept his body still, getting jolts whenever a new wave hit the side of the boat. All he managed to do in response to the Captain was to raise his right hand with a thumbs up into the air. With this the Captain came out on deck and maneuvered one of his smaller safety craft and dumped it overboard into the water. The Dragon Slayer could not quite understand the man when he started speaking. All he could get out of it was that he needed to jump overboard and get into the smaller boat.
With permission to go overboard, Sora gladly did so. He used what strength he could and threw his body over the side and fell down into the salty water. As he was swimming, Sora had gotten the thought, Why could he not continue? When he got to the small boat, he climbed over the side, nearly tipping the entire thing over with his very clumsy maneuvering.
Inside, he immediately started to feel sick again. "It's not moving...it's not moving..." Sora chanted as he slowly picked up the oars and slid them into their positions. With every wave he started to say his chant louder as if that would somehow make all the water go away.
After he was able to complete five poorly done strokes, he fell back into the boat, lying down while looking at the sky. There was no way he could complete this task. However, the answer to the question he wanted to ask the Captain was going to be answered soon. The boat he was lying in, had started moving faster and faster as the waves changed around it.
From effects that were unknown to Sora, the boat somehow managed to reach shore. He was in a state of sickness where he could no longer maintain his senses. The small boat he was lying in was floating slowly to the shore of a desert.
