Today was as tranquil a day as one could get. It was so quiet one could hear a pin drop from a centimeters distance. This is why when a mysterious figure entered the scene his footsteps sounded like thunder. This man walked up to the magnificent guild and looked up at it. It had been so long since he had stepped foot in here. The man was wearing a hooded cloak. This covered his face , and most of his body stopping while just passed the knee. The man yawned as he took a few steps forward, and entered the guild.
Once in he stuck out like a sore thumb. All eyes were on him , as no one in the guild could see his face. The man then slowly walked to the bar , and sat down. That's when Bellamy came near the man with a quizzical look , and asked a simple question that had many meanings. "Can I help you with anything sir." After that the man in the cloak looked towards the bartender. Then almost simultaneously he took of his hood and said "Yeah , I'd lice an iced tea mixed with lemonade please."
The mans hood dropped to reveal that it was in fact Soul. Bellamy's quizzical look turned to a smile , and he and Soul gripped hands over the bar. As a sign of welcoming back the Mage. Bellamy then left to get the drink , and then Hikari glomped Soul off his chair. With a loud umph they hit the floor. "And just where the hell have you been mister?" The women scolded him. Soul looked at her and replied "Nice to see you too, and I was on a mission." The two stood up as it was a tad bit awkward being on top of one another. She looked at him with a sense of both doubt and worry. "For 5 months?" She questioned him. "Yes I was on a year long mission , and I failed took one hell of a beating too." Soul then lifted his cloak to reveal almost his entire torso covered in bandages. His right arm was too.
Hikari's eyes grew wide, then she proceeded to grab Soul by his collar and smack him around. "You idiot, do you know how dangerous a year long mission could be? You could of gotten yourself killed or worse!" Soul now just hung on by his shirt as Hikari was holding him up. All Soul could think of was what could be worse hen death, and how much of a punch the girl could pack.

Durriken heard the silence drop from within the guild hall from his office. When he focused further he could detect the aura of a mage. The aura felt familiar but very different at the same time. He stood from his desk and walked in front of it, staring up at the very large mirror above his door. It filled the space from the top of the door to the ceiling and from one side of the room to the other. He closed his eyes and then opened them his eyes glowing with magic. In the mirror, he observed Soul walking into the guild hall. He didn't know it was Soul at first, but he did know it was someone once knew. His spell only let him see things he already saw, any unknown guests to him would show up as black splotches on his mirror which could be as useful as seeing them directly. When the man sat down and pulled off his hood, Durriken smiled when he realized who it was and then frowned when he saw the bandages on the man's side. He grabbed his satchel full of cards, slung it over his far shoulder and neck before opening the door and walking down the stairs. Durriken would look primarily unchanged since the last time Soul saw him. If he was observant he would only notice the increased wear on his face from the missions he faced and his new acquirement of Guild Master. That and he would clearly notice the sheer increase in power that Durriken obtained over the months through tough training he put himself through. He sat down next to Soul and the bartender brought him a wine glass and a dusty bottle of wine without even being asked. It something Durriken received from the circus when they heard the news of his promotion and he was quite fond of it now. "It is good to see you back and alive." He said simply still looking forward at the bar. "The infirmary got moved and upgraded since we remodeled while you were gone though as always you are welcome to use it if you need, some of the best medical magic in all of Fiore." Mana: 110/115 View Ally Mediocre Range: N/A Description: Through the use of a scrying mirror or crystal ball the mage is able to observe a person they have come in contact with before. If the person being viewed is in an area the mage is familiar with they will see the background around the person with any changes being fuzzy or hazy. Drawback: Require mirror or crystal ball. Can't perform other tasks while performing the spell. |

Soul looked to his side and saw a very familiar Face. "Durri! It's been awhile how ya been?" Though Soul was able to answer this question by looking at the mans face alone. He looked tired, from Soul's perspective anyway. Soul listened as he spoke of the infirmary. The Boy nodded his head. "Yeah, It's funny I didn't even get these from a fight. I fell of a cliff into some trees. I was walking and the ground kind of gave way." Soul said with a laugh. "I'll go there after this drink." Soul reassured Durri.
Soul took a sip of his Iced-tea, then he looked around. "So wheres Master Riley?" Soul asked rather leisurely. Of course he would have no way of knowing what happened since he was gone for so long. Soul hasn't been to the guild , or been in contact with any guild members since he left. Soul looked to Hikari who had a very somber look displayed. Soul wasn't a fool so he looked to Durriken. He asked the same question only with a much more serious tone "Durri where is Master Riley?"

Durriken sighed as the lines deepened in his face. It had been an interesting adjustment since Riley left. He didn't realize half the day to day business that had to be handled, the money alone was mind boggeling at time to try and keep track of. Money in from missions completed, money out to those who actually completed the mission since the guild kept a small portion to maintain the building and pay for the staff. There was also rent for those who chose to live within the guild itself.
"First, calm down." He said calmly. "I can tell you the details if you wish later in a more private location but all you need to know at this exact moment is that she felt the need to leave the guild. She left a few weeks ago in the middle of the night though she still left on good terms. She felt the break would be easier if less people knew to try and stop her. She left me in charge and I've been leading the guild ever since." He said this all in and even and calm tone, as if he said it many times before.
He didn't wish to speak of her becoming unstable and her magic going uncontrolled out in the open like at the bar. Certain people knew, or suspected but to speak of it out in the open would only lead to trouble and tarnish her good name. She left for the safety of the guild and he wouldn't let that selflessness be hurt by slander. |

Soul knew that Durri was right he needed to calm himself. So he took a deep breathe. "At least she is alright, I mean I imagined the worse." Then Soul burst out laughing. "Man am I stupid like something could happen to her she is the strongest mage I have ever met!" Soul took another swig of his drink. It was so refreshing he hadn't had this in months.
Soul looked over to Durriken reevaluating him. Soul was no fool he was put in charge for a reason. Soul could feel the sheer power of Durriken by just sitting next to him. Just how much stronger did you get? Soul asked himself. He then smiled and said "You've gotten stronger haven't you. I might just challenge you sometime." Soul always loved a good fight though he knew he couldn't beat Durri, but that just made him want to fight more. He downed the last of his drink. "So anything else I should know?"

[atrb=border, 0, true][atrb=cellspacing,0px,true][atrb=valign,top]DURRIKEN--PETULENGRO “the sin which is unpardonable is knowingly and willfully to reject truth, to fear knowledge lest that knowledge pander not to thy prejudices” Durriken miss-swallowed when Soul mentioned how nothing could hurt Riley. How wrong Soul was, there was more harm than just physical and that is where she was hurt the most. Those closest to her saw it and tried to help. Durriken even forged a spell personally for her but it wasn't strong enough or soon enough to make a difference. "You could say I am stronger. I completed the Minor Arcana and I am currently focused on ferreting out the Major Arcana cards. Shinzu and I just finished raiding a casino in Harujion for the Wheel of Fortune and I am trying to follow some leads concerning The Fool." For those who understood the Tarot would know the vastness of the phrase 'I completed the minor arcana'. The minor arcana consisted of four suits of cards representing the four cardinal elements, fire, wind, water, earth. Each suit held fourteen cards which means he collected 56 cards in total. "I also learned how to harness the magic within me to a much higher degree. It is amazing to see the form it took, makes me feel proud of the tribe...I mean guild." He said slipping. His Gypsy Blood grew by leaps and bounds since Soul last saw him. He had spells based on the bonds between members, spells based on his leadership, and spells based on the Griffin itself. It was amazing how much it evolved and a simple eye magic seemed kind of pathetic in comparison. • MANA: 100% [115/115] •

Soul had some knowledge about Durrikens spells enough to know how impressive the minor arcana was. "Congrats Durriken that's quite the accomplishment." Though Soul had no idea who Shinzu was he just assumed it was a friend of Durri's. "The fool huh? well ya know if you ever need help I'm right here." Soul said with a smile letting Durri know he would help get any cards that he needed.
Durri then wen't on to describe how much stronger he had gotten. Soul was impressed it seemed as though he had some catching up to do. "I need to start training again improve my spells. It has been so long since I could practice I feel as though I have gotten rusty. Nothing a few training days wouldn't fix." Soul said with some determination. Anything knew happen in fiore since I have been gone? Soul asked quite interested in the standing of the country.

[atrb=border, 0, true][atrb=cellspacing,0px,true][atrb=valign,top]DURRIKEN--PETULENGRO “ the sin which is unpardonable is knowingly and willfully rejecting truth, to fear knowledge lest that knowledge pander not to thy prejudices” "Quite a few things actually" he said filling in Soul. "A strange 'volcano' sprouted up right under Shark Fang guild. They say the entire dark guild was destroyed by a torrent of magma" he continued alluding to the fact that Riley single handedly destroyed the dark guild. "A new guild sprouted up as well by the name of Kistune Lament. They are currently taking in any member, dark or light which isn't given them any favor with the World Government but no skin off my nose. Fairy Tail has a new guild master as well, nobody knows what happened to Fawn. There seems to be new magical mafia forming, I don't think it is anything special but we should be keeping an eye out for it. And lastly people have been saying that mages have been in two places at once, I am planning to head out and investigate this fact myself soon since it seems quite odd." He took a big drink of the wine from the glass and let out a sigh of enjoyment. He got used to ale and beer since that is what the bar served when he first joined but now that he was guild master he was going to make sure it had a fair wine cellar. He wouldn't invest the money into making it great but at least enough bottles that they didn't look crummy. It may be the gypsy in him but he felt a fine glass of wine beat a cold beer any day. "Unless there is something else you need you are welcome to stay a few nights on the house until you get your living arrangements taken care of either here or in town. Take advantage of the infirmary and get yourself a hot meal, we actually got a full kitchen now. If you are bored you are welcome to grab a book from our stocked library as well. You were there when we started cleaning out the basement, it was amazing all the stuff we found down there." • MANA: 100% [115/115] •

Soul looked to Durri ad smiled. "Thanks Durri." Soul stood up and left a few jewels on the table to pay for his Drink. Soul then yawned, bringing his hand up over his mouth. "I'm actually really beat, in more ways then one" Soul chuckled a bit. "I'm going to go grab a room for the night, and head to the infirmary first thing tomorrow." Catch you latter. Soul told Durri as he left the scene to go get some rest. Truth was he was incredibly tired. It had been a long journey home, and his wounds didn't help the cause. He sighed in regret as he had failed his mission, but maybe he could try again some day.
