Name: Dimensional Trap Arc Part 2 - Defensive [Compulsory] Rank: A Posts Limit: 8 Objective: Having created a home away from home, the Mages must now defend themselves. The unique smell of human magic that comes from them can be picked up by the demons nearby. This will probably be the most difficult battle to face in the three years in this dimension as it will have the most demons. Objective: Survive. Reward: 1200 Jewels Exp: 120 Exp Fawn continued her battle, she had already slain countless Ghouls, their bodies would be piled around her, however it seemed like these hell beast simply burst into flames when they were defeated, which was pretty convenient for them given that she was fighting beside what had became their home. The real problem was the three stronger beast attacking her at once, the lute playing skeleton who called himself David, and his two beast Orthrus, which were lion or wolf like creatures with two head. Fawn tossed one of the swords in her hand at one of the Orthrus as it tried to rush her, the blade finding it's way between their heads and stabbing into it. However it wasn't enough to stop the beast as it headbutted the young girl twice and caused her to fall onto the ground. In seconds both of the Orthrus were running at her, fangs open and ready to tear the young girl apart, all the while David just watched, playing his lute. One of them grabbed her arm, she felt it pop, the beast fangs easily having broken her arm and opened a wound. The other one was about to reach for her neck. This would be it for the young girl, she couldn't reach her sword. She couldn't summon her fairy magic. She felt her blood dripping down her arm, then in an instant she decided the only thing she could do was to try and create a new spell on the spot, She closed her eyes and focused her magical energy, "Solid Script: Blood!"Suddenly parts of her blood raised from her arm and formed the word Blood, which shot out hardened wines of blood, stabbing into both of the monsters, throwing them about ten feet back, Fawn quickly got up, tearing a sleeve from her shirt and wrapping her left arm, which was bleeding and broken. She grabbed another one of the swords she had shot around the battlefield. She jumped up towards David, in such a hurry that before he knew it the young girl had stabbed his musical instrument, then moved her arm, rendering it in half. She had what seemed to be the most aggressive face the young child had ever had, "I will end you."David laughed and jumped back, charging a dark magic, the Orthrus were now recovering from Fawn's attack and climbing the house to get at her, Fawn was running out of options. "Are you ready to give your soul to me?"Fawn looked at her arm, she needed to save everyone, no matter what price she paid. She had to live on. "Yes."Mana: 5/120 Spell Name: Solid Script: Blood Type: Solid Script Level: Mediocre Range: 10 feet Description: Fawn can summon the word Blood, this can be used offensively to create vines of hardened blood which will seek a target, however it can also be used to heal someone of even the most extreme blood loss, as the blood can take the type of anyone it comes in contact with. Drawback: The Blood spell can only be cast once per topic.

OOC: Looks like with the new mission post limit rule thing, we only need 1 more post, but might as go one more round so that all of us can finish up our fights. Pinned to the ground by two Rakshasa's, blades pointed at him from the remaining two and a Man Eater on top of him, Battler was sure in a bad position. He had no weapon at the current time since it was broken in the first clash, but he could still do enough for now. He would find a way to get through this. He had to. Grinning, he took a deep breath in and let out a powerful shout, blasting the unsuspecting opponents away. This was going to be a real strain on his magic, but he would have to get through it. Right after using his Shout Blast Wave, Battler pointed his hand at the Man Eater and fired out his sword instead of gripping it, launching at straight into the demon's chest. What was more, it seemed like a critical hit as the demon dispersed like all the other defeated opponents. The two Rakshasa's who had pinned him earlier were still on the ground trying to recover, but the other two were already charging. His blade had yet to disappear from where the Man Eater had disappeared, so he quickly rushed in to recover his sword.
This is where it would be tough. Blocking the first of the rapid strikes, Battler was pushed back a bit, but with some wit he jumped off some rubble to get above the two opponents, storing magic within his lungs again and then releasing it in another roar, forcing the two to the ground. Battler probably got the weaker opponents to face, so he was lucky. But he couldn't relax. Landing down, he struck his blade into the first of the two, landing the blow on the neck where there was no armor and effectively removing it from battle as it disappeared, then rapidly struck at the second one who was on the ground until it disappeared. It was a dirty trick to attack an already downed enemy, but one he had to do nonetheless.
Two more of them were left. This would be the hard one. Bringing out 15 of his butterflies, he shrouded himself and began approaching the remaining Rakshasa's. It would only help to make him harder to hit, but he still had his work cut out for him. The two opponents had recovered from being blasted away earlier. Charging at them, Battler hacked away towards them in hopes of landing blows, but being outnumbered was really a disadvantage. After what seemed like a dozen or more minutes of Battler hacking one and defending against the other, he finally decreased the number to one. Bringing out one more Sword, he dual-wielded to match his opponent, keeping his shroud of Butterflies around him. The golden glow emitted from his butterflies was slightly blinding to the demons who were use to the darkness of this world. After another seemingly long clash, Battler forced the Rakshasa up against a wall from his rapid strikes. Finishing it off, he collapsed against the wall as he felt exhausted. The ghouls were backing off.
Over with Noir, he was only up against one opponent. Well, one boss and three Orthrus. Leaving the Pale Rider until last, he focused on the Orthrus's that were charging at him. Dodging each one in order, he struck as he dodged the last one, cutting deeply into one of the heads, the Sword lodged in it. Finishing it off, he gave a brutal strike with his fist onto the top of the nearly severed head, defeating it in a simple single blow. The other two kept charging, but after taking a bite of the armor, backed off knowing they couldn't chew this thing. Taking these two beasts out swiftly, Noir put his attention to the Pale Rider just in time to block a slash of the Scythe which caused his left arm, which took the blow, to crack all over. That was one arm out of commission. At the least, he still had the Sword of Light which would prove to be effective. Dodging what attacks he could, knowing a single hit will render him useless, Noir saw an opening as the Pale Rider got frustrated from missing so much.
Leaping up, Noir landed on the back of the horse and continuously stabbed his Sword into the Rider, causing it to writhe in pain. Noir's durability was decreasing, making it harder to support himself, but he would win in time. A dozen or so pierces later, the Pale Rider finally disappeared in a similar fashion to the rest as Noir landed feet first on the ground, feeling his durability coming to its end. Looking around, the Ghouls had backed off, retreating from the area. That makes half of this fight done. Returning through his gate with Battler's permission, Noir exited from this fight. Spell Name: Shout Blast Wave Type: Universal Level: Mediocre Range: ~25m Description: User builds up and stores magic power within their lungs. This magic power is released through a shout as it projects the energy much farther than an exhale, and adds aesthetics to it as well. Causes medium/moderate knock back and pressure damage to those within range. Drawback: Amount of Magic Power used is equivalent to the level of the spell. Can be used once every 4 posts. AoE is directly in front with a moderate degree of attack. Can adjust to any level below it to reduce cooldown and Magic Power used in exchange for distance and AoE.
Spell Name: Sword of Light Type: Light Magic Level: Mediocre Range: --- Description: A blade of Light created using the Magic of the Mage. [Image] Is 108cm long and has a thin blade but sharp as it 'shears' using magic. Mediocre - Durable to withstand magic and attacks one level higher than it without breaking. Cracks with anything larger. Effective offensively and defensively. Drawback: Mediocre - Ineffective when attacking spells/armor/weapons higher than it's own level. Lasts 5 posts in combination with a Celestial Spirit, 10 by itself. Has no limit between re-casts, though not recommended as it puts a cumulative strain on the Mage.
Spell Name: Dazzling Waltz of the Golden Moonlight Type: Light Level: Intermediate (Max) Range: --- Description: The first thing people will notice about this spell is the beauty of golden butterflies that they see. Any number of butterflies can be summoned and manipulated at any one time, though the more of them there are, the harder it is to control them all precisely. There are plenty of uses for these butterflies such as illumination thanks to their golden glow, a smoke screen by swarming someone, a defensive screen to make it harder for the enemy to get you directly, as an offensive group to swarm an enemy and force them to try cut them down, a meat shield by absorbing magical and physical impacts, and finally, the one which pushes it into Intermediate Rank, Cloaking. By creating many butterflies in an area, it can create the illusion of the user vanishing by bending light away from them. It is often thought that when used, the user turns into butterflies and goes away. In reality, they just sprout enough butterflies to cover their body and then disperse them to bend light around them. If you look close enough, you can see glimpses of the user among the butterflies. Battler sometimes has the butterflies active as he travels so that people mistake him for a group of butterflies as it hides him. Drawback: The butterflies aren't really too power by themselves, and cost little magic to bring forth. To create one butterfly would be equivalent to a single pushups' worth of energy. Therefore, to bring out, say, 50 butterflies, it would be the same amount of energy as 50 pushups. A single is cheap, a group is pricey. However, they don't require magic to maintain, but do cost to summon more. They are weak and so simply hitting it with a spell or physical attack should be enough, but they are more magic resistant than they are physically resistant. Can withstand greenhorn spells no problem, and more resilient against feeble, but mediocre spells are more than enough. A simple grab and squeeze is enough to break them, but takes longer. And finally, the drawback for the cloaking effect. If one was to begin hacking away at the butterflies, the mirage would begin to unravel and allow the user to be seen within, but would soon be fixed with butterflies filling the gap. The more of them there are, the stronger the field and the quicker it can be adjusted. The less there are, the longer it takes for the field to re-form when broken and also the more easier it is to peer in. For example, 50 butterflies being cut down would be enough to for no break in the field and the person inside remains hidden, whereas about a dozen or so butterflies being hacked away at would make the user's appearance seemed blurred/smudged as the field fails. The more butterflies there are, the more the user fades away, with at least 15 butterflies being enough to fully fade them out. Minimum. David - 1/1 Remaining

Riley was completely and utterly stunned over the fact that the beast, known as Fenrir, hardly seemed to be scratched after she used an Intermediate level spell that had directly hit it - and decimated the remaining Cerberus that had been trying to tear her limb from limb. She swallowed at a hard lump in her throat, her green eyes dancing quickly as she remained suspended in the air by her Stellar Body spell.
She continued to hover, and the eyes of the beast did not leave her. Clearly, it had locked onto her as being the tastiest of the prey, and she could only let out a soft 'heh' sound at the thought of such a morbid thing. It began to pace beneath her, walking without hinderance, a further reminder that she had not managed to so much as ruffle it's fur with an intermediate level spell - a spell that could easily deal with most of the monters that were roaming the dangerous, hellish world.
Clearly, there was something special about this one particular monster. This wolf like beast was clearly more powerful than any of the others monsters that she had yet met in this world, but at this point, she was hit with a hardened reality. This world, while resembling their own, had a much stricter rule. Kill, or be killed. It was a daily rule. Something they would have to face for who knows how long, seemingly with only theirselves to rely on.
With this thought, a sigh left her, and her magical aura began to flare, sending out a wave of pressure that had her hair flying about wildly. As she exerted this magical pressure, the wolfish creature below seemed to lick it's lips hungrily, beleiving her to be an even more filling meal that he had previously deemed her to be.
A thought had entered her head, though she had never before cast spells of such high magnitude so closely together, it seemed to be the only thing that would kill this monster for certain (or at least, that's what she was hoping for). She could not afford to waste spells, or time for that matter, trying to wear the beast down. She had to wear this creature down before it did the same to her. Luckily, Riley was certain that she had a way to kill the beast in a single onslaught.
For a moment, her green eyes flickered, assuring herself that Fawn and Battler were out of range, as she rose both of her hands up into the air (one slightly limp, with the wrist swelled). Above her, magic sparked in the sky, a mixture of orbs of light, and daggers formed of a dark material similar to that of her Blood Soul weapon. Quickly, the sky filled with these two spells, both of destructive level, the Heaven's Rain, and Daggers of Darkness (perhaps a rather ironic combination, but if an intermediate spell couldn't scratch it, it seemed unlikely the Fenrir would fall to a single destructive level spell). With the odd combination of light and dark magic littering the sky, Riley look below, to the wolf, which was beginning to move away from the centralized point of the spells.
"Not so fast," she murmured, one hand falling, she gave her wrist a flick and her fingers a snap, using a gravity based spell that tugged the beast down to hit the ground. The effect was momentary, but that moment was all she needed. She unleashed both spells at once, while kicking her Stellar Body spell into overdrive, using the 'After Image' extension of this spell to further increase her speed in order to dodge her own attacks - which rained down upon the earth below, causing explosions and a great deal of noise.
While she dodged the orbs of light and daggers of darkness, there appeared to be several Riley's among the chaos, her after images, as she was moving at such an intense speed that she appeared to be in multiple places at once.
When the attacks finished, an exhausted Riely lowered herself into the cloud of dust and debris, unable to keep herself in the air any longer, she quickly fell upon her knees, coughing against the harsh atmosphere, a bit of blood coming up as well. She still had magical power left, certainly, but having summoned forther so much of it at once, and furthermore used the After Image spell had wreaked her for the time being.
Stellar Body: After Image was a spell that pushed at her physical limits, and judging by the amount of aches and pains shooting through her body, she assumed that she had pushed herself beyond limits that she was not meant to yet touch. Panting, with a trickle of blood rolling from the corners of her lips, she leaned forwards onto her hands, narrowing her eyes as the dust settled - and the Fenrir was no where in sight.
"... Good..." She managed to utter, slowly allowing herself to flop over on her side to rest.
[Mana Used: 71/100]
Spell Name: Heaven's Rain Type: Heavenly Body Level: Destructive Range: 100 feet Description: Orbs of astronomical energies appear over head, scattered numerously and sporadically within the casting range. They spark and glow, and with a snap of Riley's fingers they rain down to the earth all at once, creating small explosions upon impact. Drawback: They can also hit Riley, as well as harm other allies and the surrounding area. Cannot control all of the rain at once, only small bursts of it can be controlled the rest is in free-fall. Once per thread.
Spell Name: Daggers of Darkness Type: Sin Eater Magic Level: Destructive Range: 60 feet Description: Hundreds of 'daggers' formed of a material similar to that of her 'Blood Soul' spell appear in the sky above the selected area/target(s). They give off a dark, intimidating aura, and are purplish-black in color. At Riley's command they rain down upon the selected area, all at once, using the area (and anything in it) as a pin cushion, impaling them. Like The Blood Soul, these daggers inflict wounds that can only be healed by means such as healing magic, not naturally through the passing of time. These wounds, while they don't cause the victim to bleed out, swell, cause continuous pain, and do in fact damage the body as a normal wound would (minus the bleeding). This spell is the manifestation of her brother, Maddox's, sins, separate from those of the rest of the blood line. Drawback: These daggers of darkness can only travel in a set path/straight line. Once unleashed, they cannot be stopped, regardless of whom or what is or is not in the way. Once per thread.
Spell Name: Gravity’s Grasp Type: Heavenly Body Level: Mediocre Range: 50 feet Description: Riley flicks her wrist before suddenly gravity itself grabs a single target, yanking them down and slamming it into the earth with surprising force - pinning them down for a short time as well as crushing them with gravitational force and pain. Drawback: The spell has a two post cool down between uses, the target can only be pinned down for two posts, and if they are stronger then Riley they can shatter the binding.
Spell Name: Stellar Body; After Image Type: Heavenly Body Level: Intermediate Range: Self Description: While her Stellar Body spell is active, Riley takes advantage of it's capabilities to immensely increase her speed. She pushes these boundaries even further, moving with such great speed that she creates after images of her herself, making her even harder to detect, while also allowing her to strike several times, from different angles, with next to no time between each attack that she launches. Drawback: If one were to manage to actually hit her while traveling at this speed, no doubt the following wipe out on her part would be a rather nasty one. Once per thread, as it pushes her limits, and can only be in effect for a maximum of two posts before she is forced to cancel the spell to prevent her body from taking permanent damage.
