Name: Investigate the Temple in the Graveyard Rank: C Objective: An ancient temple has been found Hidden in Kunugi's Graveyard. Requests have been put out to investigate it. Explore it thoroughly and retrieve any treasures possible. If needed, clear out the monsters found to allow later exploration teams to investigate. Post Limit: 3 Reward: 300 jewels Exp: 40 A graveyard was an odd place to find an abandoned temple, but if that's where they decided to set up their dead's new home, then they should of searched it out a lot better than that. Going through the graveyard was creepy enough seeing as how Fisher ran late and ended up having to go through at night. If the train had just been a little earlier everything would be fine. No sense complaining about it now, though, he was already here and had to suffer through the creeping sensation, stumbling through the mist. With the temple in plain view now, he was almost a bit relieved with how normal it looked and, of course, the lack of moaning from inside was a great comfort. His hands hovering over the grips of his magic guns just in case they were silent zombies, Fisher went slowly through the entrance of the temple with eyes gleaming in anticipation for treasure.

The place seemed empty of all but bones, bugs and dust as each step sent up another cloud of the air borne particles. Fisher had always been more accustomed to this kind of atmosphere than the outside worlds air for some reason. He never really questioned it much, and this was hardly the time to do so right now with his duties to take care of. As he mentioned, the place seemed pretty empty as far as he could tell, and he was surprised that there weren't any undead minions clammering around this dungeon. There weren't a lot of traps around right now either, which was even more surprising.
Even if there wasn't a creature defense system in this place, they usually set up some kind of arrow trap or spike pits to protect jewels and money. Fisher was starting to lose hope for this mission, until he stumbled upon an actual door at the end of the last hallway he had to explore. It seemed to have some very intricate lion and animal designs to it, and the door itself would get quite a bit of money due the size of it and the fine art work. However, something beyond the door must be a lot more valuable to the owner of this place. Pushing it open with his left hand, Fisher kept his right firmly grasping Jasmine as the door creaked open for the first time in decades.

The room had very little that was actually inside, but the most notable thing was a lone chest sitting at the top of a small set of steps, two standing torches were set next to it and, as Fisher released his grip on Jasmine, he began to approach it. Everything seemed perfectly normal in this temple, so he wasn't expecting any kind of surprise to spring up and catch him off guard until he tried to open the chest. As he began to inspect the lock, it seemed much too difficult for him to handle, he would need to carry it out of here himself to take back to the client. Picking up the chest, which was a lot lighter than he had expected it to be, there was a soft clicking, causing Fisher to move a hand over to Jasmine. Things seemed perfectly normal however, until the floor behind the treasure chest began to light on fire.
Fisher began to run as the rest of the floor began to follow suit, the fire nipping at his heels as he ran to escape the blaze, the heat near unbearable at this distance. The fire seemed to speed up as he neared the exit to the temple, but the exit was already beginning to close. He was about to be trapped in the temple to be burned alive unless he could pick up the pace. As the large stone door got about half-way to closing, Fisher went for a slide, narrowly escaping as the fire caught the back of his shirt. With a simple roll in the morning dew, things settled down however, and the sun was a welcome site at this time. Another mission down, Fisher dusted himself off and began to walk back to town and his client, hopeful that the chest had something actually useful in it.
